Good sound quality at the price

Sound is good for what you pay, they're comfy but I have to wear them a certain way because my ears are a little big for them. They're a little heavier than the logitech g430 as a comparison. Bass is not too excessive but still present. I would have preferred a little more though tbh. Music sounds great and audio in video games sounds good too though some loud sounds feel like knives in your ears such as static and long explosions. Footsteps are very discernible if that matters. Overall good pair of headphones for the price, hope this review helpsRead full review...

Overated

Perhaps this is a suitable headphone for monitoring, since it sound so plain in every way.
This headphone sure is over-hyped.
I felt disappointed because I expected so much, maybe if you just throw it to some unsuspecting friends, they might like it.
Not comfortable, sweat-inducing, sounds normal.
That's it.
FYI, I compared it with JVC flats, Beyerdynamic DTX 501p, and Philips SHP9500.
It sounds a lil bit better than JVC and Beyerdynamic, but those are on-ears (kudos to both of those)
With the SHP9500, you'll see the where it's lacking.

Awesome sound, Awesome Quality Construction, Excellent Price. Buy these!!!

I have been using these headphones for a couple of weeks now and they are awesome. I had originally bought a pair for my Daughter to use with her PC, and she loved hers as well. They have great bass, and also produce a clear sharp high range that has to be heard to be appreciated. They are of excellent quality construction, and have just enough weight to make sure they won't fall off or feel "cheap". All in all, for sound and quality construction, these outperform many "High End" headphones which cost a lot more. I would definitely buy these again. I might pick up a second pair for my casio keyboard as well. It's just Shame that these don't have a microphone. They are so comfortable that they would be great for gaming or as a general communications headset. As for Cons... Well, I really tried to think of anything that was negative about these headphones, and there simply isn't anything negative that I can think of to say about them.Read full review...

I had high hopes, they weren't let down, they were blown away...

I had a pair of jvc headphones like these years ago & someone took them from me two years.. was looking for a good replacement : the only other one came close was dr. dre by monster... the key of headphones is the Frequency Response, Sensitivity, Impedance & They have a Neodymium driver unit specs..

Their extremely loud, super clear, true bass, even with cheap portable devices.. they beat monster with everything but the 10db of sensitivity.. only...

JVC HA-RX700 Has : a 50mm Neodymium driver unit , Frequency Response 8 - 25,000 Hz, Sensitivity 105 dB, Impedance 48 ohms

MONSTER BEATS BY DR DRE PRO Has : a 30mm Neodymium driver unit , Frequency Response 20 Hz - 20 kHz, Sensitivity 115 dB, Impedance 16 ohms Retail For: $399.99

beautiful sound.

I bought the JVC HA-RX700 about one year ago and kept wondering if I should have spent more money on more expensive brands, a few months back I was able to get the ultrasone HFI 450 to compare both sets of headphones, the JVC HA-RX700 have a brighter sound, the main difference I have noticed is that with the ultrasone HFI 450 I can turn the computer volume all the way up, without hurting my ears, but with the JVC HA-RX700 I have to lower the volume when it gets too loud, this is not a bad thing for me since I don't mind lowering the volume, sound quality is excellent on both sets of headphones, plenty of bass, and the highs and mids seem more clear on the JVC HA-RX700, the price on the JVC HA-700 was half the price of what I paid for the ultrasone HFI-450, I am happy with both, but if you are looking for a good set of headphones on a budget, try the JVC HA-RX700 I hope that you will like them as much as I like mine, they are extremely comfortable, light weight and deliver great sound.Read full review...

Good amp volume, really nice rich sound, lows are a little bit strong but highs are perfect. Is not that comfortable. Pressure to your ears but is manageable after you force phone to stretch wideness.

Disappointed in JVC's top headphone, really disappointed!

The headphone looks great and is made very well and that's what I don't understand! This is JVC's top headphone and it's peaky, hollow sounding, bass is messed up somehow and I'm guessing here, a 6db plus drop off after 10,000 hertz. I am surprised that the company let this headphone be voiced like this before leaving the factory. Before buying the RX900, go for a Samson SR850, Grado SR60 or the Pioneer SA 1000. Closed back- go for a used Sony V6 or the Sennheiser HD280 / 380. There are many budget friendly headphones out there that sound great. This isn't one of them.....Read full review...

For $35 these are definatly amazing headphones but they are very very bulky

Very good sound but kind of weak on the bass, I had to adjust my EQ to actually hear it better. They don't have "great" noise cancelling but it's enough that on 10% volume I can't really hear anyone talking. Headphones are VERY large and bulky, if you're looking for style then you should avoid these, they don't look that great when you wear them because they completely engulf your head. The sound isn't anything amazing but it is very clear for the price. For $35 these are very amazing headphones. Other reviews say that they can make your ears hot but I have not had this problem so far. They get warm but nothing uncomfortable at all. Very good on space, even if you have large ears you should have a pretty good fit on the head. Cord length was impressive at 14ft (previous headphones were only 6ft and couldnt reach the sound card). Durable feeling cord. Came with an amplifier jack attachment as well as the regular headphone jack. They stay on your head very well without being uncomfortable and you can wear them for hours on end without having too much discomfort. I feel like there are some better choices due to the size and lack of bass but on a budget it's hard to beat these.Read full review...

Amazing sound and build quality!

Yes, these headphones are big! They go completely over the ear and are not as heavy as they look. The cord is super long. These are made extremely well and are very comfortable! Yes, you do need to "break" them in. At first I was very impressed with the sound but was lacking in the low-end department with almost no bass. After about 10-12 hours of movies and music they really started to shine! I've had many DJ headphones and some "studio" headphones from Sony, Technics, to Pioneer and others. By far the best in sound quality for the price ($40 ish) and better than some $120.00 headphones! If you are in music production these are great. I dont know the power rating so I cant recommend them for DJ use but they are made very well. For the price you cant go wrong. I'm wanting to get the higher end RX900s to compare because the 700s sound so good!Read full review...
