Great product for little $$
If you a bunch of money to throw at drop in triggers and other high dollar parts, then you probably wont be interested in this set of springs. Most people I know who shoot, have more than one gun and triggers for all of them would add up $$ very quickly. This spring set, along with some time and patience and you can get a really nice trigger setup for pennies compared to a drop in trigger group. With this spring set and an evening smoothing and polishing, I was able to get just under 4.5 lbs consistently out of the MIL spec group. Let a couple of people shoot my rifle, because they were sceptical. I believe they went home and ordered a set for themselves. I highly recommend these for anyone wanting to get the most out of their rifle without dropping a ton of money to do it.Read full review

Bad, all around.
I had high hopes for this spring set, maybe too high of hopes. The set I received were not in, spec with the trigger spring coils angling inwards instead of a 90° angle, as it should be. Also, the set caused quite a few light primer strikes, roughly 20 out of 100rds, (Federal 55g). This was the very first time my rifle failed to fire a round, after thousands of successfully fired rounds. I confirmed my hypothesis of the spring set causing the issue by replacing the hammer spring with the OE spring, which provided a harder strike of the firing pin. No further issues arose after changing back to my original spring set.Read full review

Great for setting up a competition gun.
if you decide not to go with a drop-in competition trigger, this is the next best thing. This spring kit, some polishing, shimming and an adjustable grip screw to reduce take-up, is the cheap and quick trigger upgrade.
I would highly recommend having a trigger pull scale and measure before and after. Know how and why you will be using a firearm w/ lightened springs. IMHO, you don't want this on your home defense or general use AR. Also the normal warnings about knowing what you are doing before you start messing w/ a commercial trigger.
Also the trigger spring in this kit has an off-set leg which works w/ the adjustable flat faced triggers I run (the ones w/ adjuster screws on the site) - have not found other spring that work w/ them.Read full review

All my Guns have 2.5lbs trigger pulls now!
If you have a decent trigger and if you don't just polish your seer's. Then change out these Springs you'll have almost identical to what feels like a $200 trigger. People like neither one guys Lee triggers but don't want to spend almost $300. What I do is I buy a Rock River trigger in Chrome which guiseley doesn't come in to match my nickel boron bolt carrier and stainless Barrel then I polished the Sears and then I had these Springs and POOF! It's like magic! You have what's equivalent to a $200 trigger!Read full review

ar 15 reduced power spring kit
I installed in in my Colt AR15 and took it to the range. Fired several foreign manufactured ammo through it, and did not have one failure. Some of the ammo tested were from Serbia, Chezc, Israel, PMC, Guatemala, Germany (MEN) and Philipinne. NO Russian stuff. One full 30 round clip were fired on each brand, no failure to fire. About 300 + rounds were tested. I didn't try the Russian stuff because the steel casing sometimes fail to extract from my ARs. The Colt hammer and sear surfaces were high polished and lubed and gave a 3 Lb pull. Took the springs out and installed it on a Bushmaster stock trigger (no lube) , and it gave almost a 5 1/2 LB pull. Installed it on a S/W stock trigger (no lube) and it gave a 4 lb pull. Electronic trigger measuring gauge from Brownell was used to measure. This is the best bang for the buck unless you are willing to spend over a couple of hundred bucks for one of the high dollar drop-in trigger groups. Don't think the pull weigh would change too much on my AR10s.Read full review

FROM MIL-SPEC TO ALMOST PERFECT!
While waiting for the JP Ent. Reduced Power Springs, I completed a real nice polish job on my AR mil-spec trigger, hammer and sear, which were initially pulling at 7.2 pounds! Got the JP springs, installed them and bench tested the trigger pull 15 times and wound up with a 4.2 pound trigger pull! To me, that is a vast improvement and perfect for my varmint hunting, not too heavy and not dangerously light! I will provide another review after range and field testing! Thank You JP Enterprises! H. Tomkowiak, Michigan
FOLLOW UP: After taking my AR to the field for function testing (20 rounds, no problem at all) I sat down to try some woodchuck hunting and made this 153 yard shot on a farm woodchuck! My groups were real good before but now they are great thanks to JP's reduced power springs!Read full review

Keeping your Mil-Spec? This is a must!
A lot of these reviewers do the spring upgrade, measure the trigger, and start raving about how awesome it is. I however, went to the range immediately...once after changing the hammer spring, and again after changing the trigger spring.
Now I can rave...
This spring upgrade, will make your mil-spec trigger as good as it can be. Chambered in 5.56 or .223, I have had zero light strikes or FTF. My trigger weighs in at 4lbs, sometimes a hair above, sometimes I hair below, but 4lbs. That is down from approximately 8-10lbs, hard to know when the Wheeler only measures to 8.
Bottom line... Unless you're going to buy a drop-in, a film replacement, this is THE way to go.Read full review

Will not stike primer hard enough
If you use normal ammunition, it will not allow the hammer to come up hard enough to hit the firing pin and fire a round. I tried it with Federal ammunition and American Eagle.223 FMJ ammo and it was leaving indents on the primer but they weren't strong enough to actually fire the rounds, when I switched out the trigger springs for my old mil-spec spring set it work fine, so the Springs were taken out of my rifle indefinitelyRead full review

Great Spring Set
After lightly polishing the appropriate trigger parts and installing this spring set, my DPMS trigger feels as good as other $200+ triggers that I have in my varmint and target guns. Pulling just over 4 lbs now I'm sure my groups will improve in this weapon also. I always keep the original parts just in case, but I'm thinking they will stay right where they are. Smooth, light and crisp. Love it.Read full review
