When I heard the Flip 5 went to a single driver that was enough to push me towards the Flip 4, and the 3.5mm jack. Sound quality is great. Holds a nice charge and connects with ease, not to mention calls and speakerphone/mic. Only time will tell how the battery holds out, but we shall see. Packaging is also pretty sweet. Flip 4 as good as the Flip 5 - Maybe better for some needs - (read why)

I own both a Red Flip 5 and a Black Flip 4. Why? I need to do a classroom presentation from my iPad connected to a portable Apeman projector via a HDMI adapter & cable. (See photo) The problem is the HDMI cable routes both video & audio. The Apeman has a very small speaker inadequate for a small classroom. But it has an AUX audio out port! - That's the reason I bought the Flip 4. It has the AUX audio input port. The Flip 5 does not. I find both have fantastic sound quality & great portability but the Flip 4 suits the need for my presentation audio. For just Bluetooth from a device both are fantastic. Read full review...

The more the merrier

This is my second Flip 4 that I have purchased. Having the ability to connect two of these in stereo mode definitely makes the listening experience that much better.
It really doesn't get much better in terms of sound quality when it comes to the Flip 4 and this price range, the only thing that competes is the Sony xb20 but even then the Flip 4 is much more sturdy and it has a higher ipx rating.
