Bad iron man game

My sonwanted this game and i tried to warn him on not so good video game adaptations of movies but he really wanted it and it was pretty much a waste of money i cant think of any redeemable qualities with this game amd would never recommend this game to buy .Read full review...

Mindless time waster doesn't soar as high as Iron Man should

Pluses:

* Real voices from the movie.
* You get to play all 3 suits in the movie.
* There are several types of weapons that you get, as well as special moves you can perform with the suit (i.e. catching oncoming missiles and hurling them back at an enemy ship).
* Menu system and interface looks like what you'd expect an Iron Man menu to look like.

Downside:

* Flight controls are a little wonky. Tighter controls should have been in order.
* Texture mapping is hurried and old school. Felt like flying through a city made for a PS2.
* Quests are downright hard in easy zones, while bosses don't really seam to get all that tougher. Example of hard quests in an easy zone: Save all innocent civilians. Sure, when the boss drops drones that instantly start attacking civvies (one-hit kills).
* No repercussions for the story path element they put in the game. I killed 6 US fighter pilots in the game and was just scolded for it. In reality, that would have been the end of the super hero movie.
* Deviation from the movie flattened out the story experience of this game.Read full review...

The Game Barely Deserves 1 Star

Iron Man is a game based on the movie by the same name. It is not a copy of the movie, it is only somewhat based on the movie. The movie is good, the game, not so much. With horrible gameplay, terrible controls, and not-so-great graphics, Iron Man has all the makings of a flop, and it delivers in that sense.
The gameplay is the most flawed part about Iron Man. The flying is fun, but the massive amount of shooting, ducking, punching, and taking cover gets old fast. If that was not bad enough, the missions are extremely repetitive, with every one just being; blow this up, destroy this, and kill this person and this one too. The combination is a death blow to the game's chance of success. In addition to all this, the controls just do not feel right.
The graphics are alright, but they could have been a lot better, particularly in the cutscenes. Really, the only good thing about the game is the fact that you do get to play as Iron Man.
This game is not worth buying, for any amount over $5.99, unless you just love the fact that you play as Iron Man so much that you can ignore the overwhelming issues. If you really want to play this game I suggest you rent it first, and save your money for a much higher quality game. Without a doubt in my mind I say that Iron Man is a pass.Read full review...

Amazing game, I usually don't expect too much of the movie based super heroes video games as the result of previuos experiences (FF4,Blade,Batman,Superman for say some)But on this one, I rent it first, right after seeing the Amazing Movie (very well done, by the way) And I found out that the game lives up to the expectation, it make you feel the movie like if you are the IronMan. Descent Game.... 1st person shooter type

Graphics were nice in this game, I like how you get to play out the different suits ( From his very first suit, to the red/gold one ) During the beginning, Stark's computer talks to him to get him better acquainted with his suit and basically teaching you what buttons do what. How to punch, fire missiles, and learn the different buttons to fly. It does follow some of the movie but in a way it is completely different. The voice over for the main characters sound to be from the actual actors. This game has a descent storyline, which it seems to jump you into right away at the beginning. This is a classic shoot'em up game. If you like those types of games, you will really like this game.Read full review...
