Dell e6420 upgrade

I have bought this CPU to upgrade a Dell E6420 equipped with a core i5 2520M. The CPU arrived in very good condition and after installed the windows booted up without any problem.

The benchmarks show the gain in computational speed, which is normal due to the jump from a dual core to a quad core. The TDP is 45W for this CPU (versus the 35W of the core i5 dual core) so as expected the temperatures are higher. For the owners of a system like mine, consider the upgrade of heatsink (dual pipe).Read full review
