Nearly perfect for the time it was manufactured.

The only fault I found was perhaps "lays within myself" was I couldn't turn off the player and automatically return to my stopping point in the story. I didn't get an instruction book with the player I bought at auction and would welcome any instructions for readers of this so called "review." Otherwise, picture is great and if plugged into larger speakers, matches just about any speaker short of the very expensive ones. Otherwise, the little speakers in this unit sound about like early Hi-fi. The controls, on the player and the remote could have had more options, but then, although it does play cd's and mp3 sounds, one can expect only so much from one inch speakers. Overall, I give it 4 out of 5 stars because I think it's just fine and well worth the auction price and postage or more. The carrying case is outstanding. Quality product, for sure, and quite handy for my purposes.
