Fun Movie!

I hadn't even intended on seeing this movie, but picked it up as a rental on a whim. When I got it home and realized it was 2 1/2 hours long, I wasn't even going to try watching it, but thought I'd at least watch some of it. Well, I found myself enjoying it and before I knew it, it was half over! At first you think that Brad Pitt is overacting, but if you take the movie in a light-hearted sense, you start to get a kick out of him with his over-played accent. It's really funny when he tried to put on an Italian accent on top of his southern accent. And what a plot- it's a real shame that back during WWII no one thought of putting an end to the war like they did.

Anyway, I'm not a big Brad Pitt fan and pretty much usually just watch horror movies, but I really enjoyed this film.Read full review...

Inglourious Basterds Blu-ray special edition

This is a very good film made better by an excellent transfer to Blu-Ray. I thought Quentin Tarantino showed great restraint as this story had the potential to be a wall-to-wall gore fest, which it (thankfully) was not. Without giving away the whole story this is not a war movie per se, though set against the WWII backdrop. I'm not the biggest Tarrantino fan (loved Pulp Fiction, hated Kill Bill) but I really enjoyed this film and highly recommend it.Read full review...
