seems about right.
they seem to work fine. my first time filing a guitar nut from scratch .not finished it yet but so far so good. they are comfortable enough to hold, they cut pretty good. nut files are expensive no matter who you get them from .i got them to widen out already pre-cut nuts for larger strings. cheaper than amazon.Read full review

Files.
The files are comfortable, easy and pleasant to work with. However i am disappointed that they leave a square and not a rounded groove in the bottom of the well.
Maybe this is a rogue batch,(or my technique)but i have to finish the job with
Alternative tools.
They are though a reasonable quality product and i was looking forward to the end finish from them.Read full review

Great!
These files are high quality and work well for cutting nut slots, or modifying the nut to accommodate different string gauges. In my opinion they’re essential for dialing in the nut on a new neck. Well worth the extra money for these. Read full review
Quality made files but not perfect
They are not V shaped, instead they leave a square shaped slot which will allow the string of properly matching gauge to rattle or buzz no matter how accurate your movements are. You will have to use a smaller file to fix that (like .010 for .013).Read full review

HOSCO double guitar nut files
Great files for fine adjustment of already slotted guitar nuts . There's no confusion about what size file you're using . Red is .010 +.026 blue is .013 + .036 yellow is .017 + .046 . It's obvious which is thin and which is thick , better than stew mac double filesRead full review

His o files
Very good files you get what you pay for, cheaper versions don’t perform.

flat bottom fiasco.
These files leave a flat bottom profile that results in a poor fit , especially on the higher strings. Sloppy nut slot and string slippage along the bottom of the slot. Buyer beware.
