Honda Quality; Aftermarket Prices!!!

This compliance bushing is the one that generally goes out in the front control arm and causes clunking noises. Honda OEM is "Much Better" than aftermarket and about the same price if you buy it here. I have an inexpensive Harbor Freight 20 ton press ($169) and it very easily presses the old one out and the new one in. If you have the right adapters your could probably do it with a ball joint press or maybe a good shop vice. Just make certain you orient the new one correctly so it last a long time. One word of caution, the other bushing (the smaller round one,not the compliance bushing) really didn't need to be replaced but I decided what the heck, I already had the control arm off. Well it was very difficult to remove the old one and press in the new one. I actually damaged one of the new ones on my first try. The issue is I couldn't get it to line up in my shop press due to shape of the control arm. If you are replacing both watch "Eric the Car Guys" Youtube video in which he replaces the bushing on his 2005 element (very similar to the CRV but a different bushing number). If I had it to do over I would just have replaced the compliance bushing and saved a few hours.Read full review...
