Home Alone 3 (1997)

This is the third installment of the Home Alone series. Most people would agree that they should have stopped after this one. Taking a slightly different spin with slightly different characters, he manages a decent storyline. Alex Pruitt is home sick with the chicken pox for the week. (The timeline was cleverly set two weeks after Christmas and New Years, being most Americans don't take the decor down until the first week of January) International thieves attempt to smuggle a very powerful computer chip out of the country, but it ends up in Alex's brand new remote control 4x4. Once again, we have traps, but not quite as clever as the first two, (such as using a rope and paint cans twice which successfully worked for number two). My son likes it, but it does not follow the pattern

This movie was obviously an attempt to make a quick buck from the success of Home Alone 1 & 2 movies. All the other Home Alone movies 1, 2, and 4, center around the character Kevin McCallister who is left Home Alone for the Christmas Holiday. After some spoofy antics he catches the Wet Bandits, gives someone life changing advice, and his family arrives in time to celebrate Christmas.

Home Alone 3 centers around Alex Pruitt who fights terrorists and gives nobody any heart warming life changing advice.

I would only buy this movie if your child really wants it to complete the collection.Read full review...

Although Home Alone 1 & 2 have the same characters and this one is a completely different cast it is a very funny movie and my kids love it.
