Sweet Hoppin' Motivatin' Toadies
The Toadies are just a great band, with a greatly appreciated sense of humor. I found them through the Rubberneck album, "Possum Kingdom" track. The pseudo-psychotic mentality of the guy in some of these songs blossoms to just plain psycho-psychotica in the "Dollskin" or "Jigsaw Girl" tracks. He seems to be having trouble with one of the guyfriends in "Push the Hand" (if I were him I'd push the door handle on the exit). "Heel" has me wondering if it's a dog or chickfriend he's talking about. Even the sweet tones of "Sweetness" makes me pity the guy, that he didn't have better luck screening partners at his dating club. Seems like he had more luck at the kennel club with the partner in the "Heel" track. Something sinister in his thought processes, maybe the result of his 1/5 rated lovelife, but it's a successful romp through the bent mind sort've like a soundtrack without a movie. The world needs more Toady humor, might be nice if life had a sweet hoppin' motivatin' Toady soundtrack to lighten it up!Read full review...

Hell Below/Stars Above by Toadies
I love this album. One of my favorite albums of 2001. I decide to buy it because it was nowhere to be found in my little cow town. I cant wait to listen to this album again....
