Great color laser printer

The laser printer is a 2-side color printer with excellent print quality. I had to retire my older Hp 2605dn color printer. It took a while for me to decide upon this one but I am not disappointed. The only flaw is that the ready light flashes non-stop. After investigating this problem I learned that this is the characteristic of this printer and there is nothing wrong with the printer. To solve this problem, I just turn it off when I finish my print job. Also, you will need to purchase a memory card (256mb) to take advantage of the printers' memory capability.

Great printer! Fast, quiet, and reliable.

My HP 4500 kept having paper jams so I got a new printer. This printer has the same resolution as the old printer and adds duplex printing which cam sometimes save a lot of paper.
It was easy to setup and install the software. The toner is much easier to install and needs no cycling through the toner receptacles. All four cartridges are installed in one drawer.
The first thing I noticed was the very short wait from rest to the first page coming out. It's only seconds compared to minutes on the old printer. It's very very quiet. You could hunt wabbits while this thing runs! Also, the room lights don't dim when it wakes up. They did with the old monster. I use the fast ethernet connector and have had no problems.
The paper bin isn't as large as I'm used to and I don't think this one has a straight-thru paper path. I use 20 lb. paper and have had no jams. I haven't used transparencies or card stock where a straight-thru path would be useful.
The pictures I've printed have come out much nicer than on the old printer even though the resolution is the same. And no more ghosting from the drum!

So Nice I bought it Twice

I bought a used M451dn on eBay 3 years ago for a really low price. I really liked it a lot, but apparently in its former life it wasn't treated well, so it had a recurring problem that even an HP authorized repair shop couldn't fix without replacing a very expensive part. Whenever I changed the yellow toner I had to fiddle with the printer's sensor to get it to make contact with the toner chip. Finally the sensor board just gave out. I don't blame HP; I think the machine wasn't properly cared for.
So this time, I spent the money to get a NIB M451dn, and a Square Trade 3-year warranty. Still worth every penny and glad to have it up and running again. The duplexing is the main feature I wanted, to cut down on the amount of space I need to store reports. It handles card stock and labels very well, and even plain paper gives beautiful photo quality images.
I can connect it to my home network via Ethernet, or just use the USB port. Either method makes a good, fast connection.Read full review...

great product for the cost of money

I had a ink jet printer and the cost of the ink was expensive and did not last long. I decided to purchase a laser jet printer. my friend owns a same model printer except it is a black/white version. I like the feature with 2-sided pages. the new printer is much heavier and sturdier. I am disappointed about not having wireless feature. however, I can still connect it by USB without problems. the price is good for the quality product. I have a MAC desktop. it took me a little while to get it installed and connected. if you have Apple computer, make sure download the installation software from HP support center online. I like this seller. he/she answered my question within a minute. It took me by surprise when Fed/Exp man knocked my door the day after I ordered the product, wonderful gesture.Read full review...

I already had one of these great printers, so I kind of knew what I would be getting. I got a steal of a deal on the price
of this printer. It was promptly shipped and arrived in the proper factory box. I thought it was used but everything

Print quality is very good, speed is good, even with large files. Hope if has USB printing but consider the price I paid, it is fine. The quick form printing, and double side printing feature is very convenient. One drawback is the price of cartridges; 1400pages/cartridge--it is ~50% more pricy compare with other color laserjet. One last thing--it is a joke of HP to offer extra 256MB of memory $599--when you can buy at Amazon for $17. I print about 50-100 pages per day. One of the more rugged printers HP produced

This printer is a battle axe. Online reviews claim it was one of the most rugged color laser printers HP ever produced. I've owned three of them and they all run perfect.

Like for like replacement

Had a stash of cartridges so I bought this to replace a similar printer which died. Had some difficulty with Windows 11, but finally got the drivers downloaded and it works as expected.
