Ipaq H5555 PDA

Ipaq has another great little PDA here. It has a HUGE 128MB RAM and 48MB Flash mem so it CAN be upgraded. They are quite fast because large mem and are also equipped with excellent WiFi and Bluetooth radios. They have great battery life and many accessories available in the form of piggy back expansion packs with everything from PCMCIA slots to cameras. Great fingerprint reader for security nuts. All in all a nice little HP PDA which features a larger screen then most 240X320 PDAs have 3.8 instead of 3 inches.Read full review...

HP Ipaq i5555

This item is an older PDA but it is one of the most flexible and useful ones still on the market. Sure it uses an old OS, WinMo 2003, but don't think that is a handicap. Plus with WiFi and Bluetooth it makes a relevant and capable device. This unit was originally supposed to have a SIM card slot, you can see it in the battery compartment, why HP didn't release another model with the SIM slot active I have no idea. Overall just a really good PDA!Read full review...

HP iPAQ 5555 Still an Excellent Pocket PC!

I realize there are many of those who always desire to stay up with the latest and the greatest; but all for a lost cause! New is nice, adaptable is great, but I feel the proven is the best. I also realize that OS's are always changing, but if you're like me, when I purchase a program for a particular Pocket PC, I also save it to something like a zip disk for later; so let innovation continue to improve, I still have what I already know works great. Plus the fact that if you think that you're going to stay ahead of the pack, as far as the latest and the greatest goes; again you're deceived, because whenever you get something that's popular now, in fact, while you're still planning for a particular device, they're already starting on the newer model, so in actuality there is no way to stay ahead of the game. I think that it is better, by far to go with a proven model and stay there, yes such as the HP iPAQ 5555 for instance; with the features, blue tooth, Wi-Fi, ect built in then you don't need to get a bluetooth or Wi-Fi CF card or SD digital cards. Plus you can even get several Expansion Packs, I believe there's an Expansion Pack and an Expansion Pack Plus. They have them with single slot and dual slot models; so besides your Main Memory, you have the built-in SD card slot and with the Expansion Packs you can add 1 or 2 extra CF Slots for even more memory. Now when you install programs to either the SD or the CF card slots, yes it does write something to the main memory in order to let the Pocket PC know that you have other programs on those other cards but so very minor as compared to having to put the whole programs themselves to the main memory, so you can expand. Now I really don't know myself and I wouldn't mislead you about this, if I don't know I'll tell you so, but you might even be able to upgrade the OS (operating system) from the 2003 OS which comes on the iPAQ 5555 Pocket PC, when you get it to even a newer one, such as Windows 5 or 6, I don't know. However, even if you can't you can still find plenty of programs out there for it! And that's not all! If you decide to go for the HP iPAQ 5555 and then you decide to go for one of the Expansion Packs, it will come with an additional battery within the Expansion Pack of your choice! Why not learn to just grow with the Pocket PC of your choice, such as the HP iPAQ 5555, which is a great little machine instead of doing something that is virtually impossible like staying up with the latest and the greatest, because in doing that you're already defeated, it's impossible. God Bless and happy Pocket PCing!! Steve Ulbredtch; Sandpoint, ID.Read full review...

Perfect for business/personal use and worth having!!!!!

Best Bang for the Buck! Doesn't have mobile 5/6 capability, but still fantastic for the price and for what it is. If you're fortunate to find one, especially for $80 or less, then this is the way to go! Excel/Word/Browser capabilities/And 3rd party apps for excellent Avi Multimedia make this item a steal! Again, updatability sucks, but that's the only negative thing about this bad boy!Read full review...

I Love the HP 5555 Handheld computer

I love the HP 5555 Handheld. It is made better than my newer HP 111. The only thing I can find that the newer Handheld HP 111 has is newer software, because the 5555 is much better made. I have had a 5550 HP handheld since they first came on the market and I still love it.Read full review...

The Best Pocket PC

One of the best machines i have ever seen. Of course, you need a Secure Digital Memory card. I highly reccomend buying it.

Old PDA still works

This was a replacement for a PDA I bought years ago. The replacement was used but worked perfectly and I was able to transfer all programs and settings from my current unit (which had a failing connector) to the new unit. Only the stylus holder didn't hang onto the stylus.Read full review...
