Linux review of HP DeskJet 2622 printer/scanner

The printer works with Linux Mint 18.2 which fulfills my objective. Setup has less hassles then other printers I have used with Linux. The color tones are not picture quality, as compare to other printers in the same cost range. Replacement ink cartridges half the cost of my last printer. The printer is to be used internally the cons are not as meaningful for me.

Definitely a nice printer for the money! Wi-Fi set up impossible at best.

Wi-Fi set up on this was impossible. The app they tell you to use to set up the Wi-Fi opens & then closes immediately when trying to use it. On the one chance that I didn’t get to try to pair the printer w my network I got an error saying my Wi-Fi was not compatible but I was running a download speed of 136 and an upload speed of 5.9 so I know it wasn’t the speed of my Wi-Fi. Even so, I am happy with this purchase. I just leave the USB plug hanging out of it and plug it into the device when I need to print something. Very nice print quality & not really very slow for an inexpensive printer. Definitely a nice printer for the money!Read full review

Good product...

I would reccomend this product and I rate it 4 stars. Sometimes it takes alot of time to print when your going thru wifi and I still don't have it all figured out yet. It uses alot of ink if you print out pictures so I wouldn't recommend printing any pictures on it but when it works it definitely does what its supposed to and it takes under a minute to print a sheet. I have received this printer a while back and I am happy with my purchase. The only thing I wasn’t happy about is that it didn’t come with the user manual shown in the pictures and that the black ink was almost empty. The product didn't come with an installation cd, but I downloaded the thing, and was able to install it that way. It won't scan, and it takes several avenues to print.
