Drums will not synch for PS3

The guitar hero was good until had to try and synch the drums. I cannot get drums to synch. Searched on internet and appears this is common theme. I would not recommend purchasing the guitar hero with drums in set.Read full review...

Good Game...

I decided to buy this game because LOVED Guitar Hero 3 and wanted to play a new version that had different songs. This one definitely brings different songs. It features popular and not so well known songs from all over the world! (Hence the name,I guess.) Anyway, this game is pretty fun, just like the other versions before it, but there are some things I don;t like about this game actually.First off,the buttons on the screen appear smaller than the previous versions have had. Didn't like this so much. Second,there aren't that many battles and the ones that are on here are different than the more fun ones on the older games. Third,they didn't put enough well-known songs on here. Was kind of disappointed by that fact.Also, the levels are harder than previous games.If you play on Easy mode,for instance, then near the end of the level play, you go from actually being able to play the songs from pretty easy to difficult.I played every song well, until it introduced Metallica and Sweet Home Alabama. Those songs are kind of tough...and take easy mode from Easy to almost Medium standards without warning or any leading up to it.
Okay..now..on to things I like about this game. It is still the fun guitar playing game. There are more characters to pick from and getting to see Ozzy on here makes buying this game TOTALLY worth it. Plus,the story mode is EXTRA long!Once you are done with the first career story,then Lou the Devil enters the scene again and you start a new story with new stadiums to play at and more songs to play!Awesomeness! Plus, you can get codes from CheatCC.com for free that allow you to make the vocalists breathe fire, as well as codes to unlock rare characters and other cool stuff! Even better is that you can make your own band logo and name and it will appear in the game!So cool!
Overall,I am glad I bought this game.It may not be as great as Guitar Hero 3, but it takes longer to play, has better graphics and more special vocal guests, hs more characters, and there is more to do in this game.I recommend it to any fan of the game.This is a MUST buy to all Guitar Hero freaks out there!Read full review...

Guitar Hero World Tour: Complete Guitar kit.

I was brought into the band game phenomenon with Rock Band 2. I and my family have enjoyed it very much, so when I saw a chance to pick up a spare guitar and Guitar Hero World Tour for 20 dollars on eBay, I jumped at the chance.

The game: The game itself has much more readily recognizable tracks then RB2. The graphics also seem to be superior than the competition. For me, that is where the pluses stop. The game is fun to play, but the controls seem to be much tighter and much more unforgiving than RB2, even after using the calibrate feature, which is a must out of the box if you play on a large screen LCD or Plasma. The presentation and whole "band" experience is something that was just slapped into the game play, and their is no real sense of achievement like there is in RB2. Also, the team that worked on the "tabbing" (the colored tabs that scroll on the screen for each song) seemed to think that OVER tabbing was the only solution to making the difficulty levels for the songs, instead of combining more tabbing and multiple finger placement.

The guitar: Compared to the RB2 guitar, the GH:WT guitar feels like a beast. It's heavier and thicker all around, including the neck, and that makes the buttons that much more awkward to play if you started out on Rock Band guitar. The neck buttons just increase the difficulty of being able to play some of the faster songs. The RB people got it right by making the WHOLE fret bar a button on their guitar, instead of just centering a smaller button like the GH guitar has.

Overall: Better songs and graphics. Game experience and controller is far less superior then the RB2 game and controller. I would recommend getting the game just to experience playing some of the songs available in the library, but if you are looking to add a second guitar to your RB2 set, I would find another RB2 guitar and then just buy the game separate from any of the instruments offered in the GH line.Read full review...

Liking what I'm playing!!

I decided to by it because I'm a huge fan of the series, and thought it would be great to play as a band, not just a guitarist. It works well with the Rock Band 2 Drum kit and mic, but the guitar for Rock Band 2 doesn't allow for the solo neck slider bar. You must have the GH: World Tour Drum kit to use the training tutorials and the calibration is off a little too. The songs rock as always, and the other features are a nice addition, but there is a lot to be desired for the hardware (Band Kit & Guitar). But I still give it two sticks up!!!Read full review...

Guitar Hero Band Set

My kids love it completely. There is a chalenge for every skill level. I have 4 kids from 12 to 17 as well as my self and spouse, we all play it and have a great time. The slide bar feature on the guitar is a little tricky to learn but defenently worth it for a chalenge. The vocal part is a little tricky but once you learn the tricks it is good to go. Static is the best choice for options when using the mic. The words and rythem is easier to keep up with. My son cheats and hums to the rythem not sing, he doesn't like his voice. He gets great scors every time. :-) This is a fun family time investment. We are looking into the Beatles and Rock Band games as well to go with this one. If undecided between rival, Rock Band 2, pick Rock Band

I bought the guitar pack also before this. My guitar strum bar doesn't work from that one and the slide bar strums automatically. I bought this set for the drums and guitar, thinking it was just the individual controller's mistake last time. It works fine, but after maybe a half an hour of having it on, the strum bar strums for you in the game.

The drums seem to have sensitivity problems, which can be fixed, but is very frustrating.

The game is fun, but some songs seem very long and then at the very end, get hard; now, you've wasted about 6 minutes just to fail it.

The presentation and songs, in my opinion, are not up to the standard Rock Band 2 set, especially with the abundance of downloadable content which personalizes the game more than fun, yet low quality song creation. The game looks great graphically, but the note track is small and looks less professional. The notes turn all the same color during a star power sequence, and if playing the drums without being used to the set-up, it can be somewhat confusing.

I'm not sure about Rock Band 2's controllers compared to these, but my original Rock Band controllers are still functional. Three drums cracked, but hits still register, and the whammy bar is broken, but still can be used. Although the GHWT controllers can be sent in for a replacement, it is much easier just to avoid the game.

Overall, the game is fun. Without some of the problems faced, most importantly the lacking hardware, this would be a great game.Read full review...

not a bad game

Only having played rock band, guitar hero a little different. The graphics are great alot more venues than rock band 1 and the celebrity cameos are very cool.Also like rock band your forced to play alot of really crappy songs to un lock the good ones but unlike rb1 you can change the difficulty put it on mute and get through it.The guitar feels better in your hands you can play it sitting down with ease the buttons are a little harder to push and i dont get the slide part on neck. I wouldn't pay full price for it but if you can get it for cheap do it it still alot of fun.The song store not as easy as rock bands and not as many songs but alot are only 1.50 and some songs only come in packs which blows.All in all I'm glad I got it for a great price and now I'll look for some drums.Read full review...

Almost Great

While it was shipped fast...UPS caved in the side of the box (nothing was damaged), but the inside packaging was not designed to prevent crushing and we ended up just getting lucky it survived.

The kit was a used drum set, used sticks (with a few nicks in them), a used microphone and a used copy of the game (the game case was torn). The guitars that came with it are were actually new (like it said in the listing).

They are very well designed. I absolutely LOVE them compared to the other guitars in usability....but in durability they are severely lacking. I really do not expect them to last 6 months...we play a lot (3-4 times a week for 3-4 hours at a time) and I do not expect them to live long this way...where as the original guitars feel heavier and more able to take some punishment. The buttons are closer together and it makes getting to that orange button with my pinkie a little bit easier.

All in all they are still working and since I really only needed the drums...it's a good deal.Read full review...

Fun to play, but forget online play.

The game is a lot of fun, and has some good songs. But, don't try to play online with friends. that feature doesn't work. You send an invite, but the other person can't join your game. It always says the session is no longer available. I have checked online, and that is a long standing, and widespread problem. If you can find someone, it is a random and rare occurance.

So, if you want to play with someone in your own house, its fun. If you want to play online against random people, fine. If you want to play against your neighbor from down the street, you will have better luck taking your guitar to their house.Read full review...

guitar hero complete band game

The guitars & microphone work great and it is very exciting and fun. It is great for all ages out 5 yr. old plays drums,(on friends set) while older sibling play guitar and dad sings. The drum that came with our set malfunctioned. The red drum didn't work at all but is still under warranty. We sent it back to the company without any problems so far (they emailed us a return label) and is awaiting a replacement. The company website has much useful info if you encounter problems. Would recommend it and would give excellent rating for fun but due to malfunctioning drum ( and heard others have the same problem) lowered rating to good.Read full review...

Guitar Hero:Rockband

The game it's self makes a great party game. The Band Bundle gives you everything:mic,guitar and drums. you may need another guitar for FULL band experience. Over all it's like RockBand but has the past Guitar Hero look. The track list isn't anything speical, game still points to more guitar use then the rest of the intruments. I'm not a fan of the GH games, I aquired this for the intruments mostly. I recommend buying for the intruments,though I never played the RockBand 2 intruments. reviews say guitar is better then RB1. The World Tour Drum set is most real. All in all, great bundle, the game itself needs to be less guitar and more band focused.Read full review...
