Having read some bad reviews of GoPros sold as refurbished I was somewhat nervous ordering this, however it is as new. The image quality in good lighting is excellent for both video and still shots. Cant recommend it
First the software for the computer, it is a load of crap, can't handle more than 96 pictures for the time laps video.
The controls of the camera is not that easy, at least I found an app for the phone, that helps some.
No, I would not recommend it for people with large fingers.

Good camera and good concept, very reliable
I have and use other GoPro cameras (Hero3). The Hero 3+ however produces a sharper, clearer and better picture in particular in slightly dark situations. I would say that at bright daylight the difference to the Hero 3 is not really visible when you view the clips. I use my GoPro cameras on my motorbike (front, back and helmet) and they produce good little clips for fun. I can start and stop them either all with one remote control and / or separately ( I have two remote controls). This is convenient.
Battery life could in general be improved, but I sometimes use the extra battery pack (makes it heavier and you need to change the housing or at least the back of the housing). You can also use the camera when you connect a 5 V power cable, which solves battery life issues when operating the camera on a motorbike. With GoPro, I also appreciate that I can attach the small light monitor to view clips immediately (accessory) or to adjust fixed positions on the motorbike (you can immediately control your expected result).
The GoPro concept in general fine and logic, but as all in live accessories are in my mind too expensive, but that seems to be the market policy these days. In conclusion, I am happy and would not change to another brand. I can recommend the GoPro Hero 3+Read full review

The GoPro Hero 3+ Silver is amazing! Clear video quality on HD settings, great pictures and the sound quality is excellent for this little camera.
I must say I was a bit apprehensive about getting a refurbished camera. I didn't need to be. It turned up in what I would say is new condition. All of the mounts, screws, casings, leads and instructions that you would get If buying this new. It even came with a 1 year guarantee from the manufacturer. The only thing that was different was that it came in a little brown box with Go Pro all over it (I prefer this packaging and it's more environmentally friendly).
In all, the Go Pro Hero 3+ will do exactly what you want it to. It can easily hold up to most situations and take much more!Read full review

Christmas gift
I got this as Xmas gift for my boyfriend. He loves it. Go pro is brand new sealed in a box with same things in the original packaging - I can't even find a scratch. I was between the hero 4 with LCD and this model. However, like other people reviews, hero 3 + is extremely light and have good video quality. LCD screen isn't that important if you start filming mounting it somewhere. The only inconvience we found is that you can't connect to the laptop with SD card in it. GoPro or a generic item?
As they say, you pay your money and get what you pay for and that is what happens with GoPro. They are just superior in all departments, ease of use, quality of images, they leave the other, cheaper brands, standing in the dust. They also have fantastic backup and updates not to mention the huge online community for GoPro enthusiasts to fall back on if they need any help or advice.
Buy GoPro and you won't have to buy another one 6 months later, IMHO.Read full review

Hero 3+ black edition
I borrowed my friends go pro hero3 for 2weeks and i knew i wanted one for myself straight away. I did my research on each camera from the hero 2 to the hero 4 black edition. The hero 4 black edition was too pricy for me unfortunatly but the hero 3+ black edition is just incredible. From the picture quality to the app and wifi connection, it ticked all the boxes for me.
