Glorious knitting by Kaffe Fassett

I first saw this book in England 25 years ago and loved it. I later forgot the name of the book and designer but always remembered the book and wished I had it. I casually searched for it in second hand stores, knitting stores and book stores in the States with no luck. I stumbled upon it during e-bay searches recently and cried when I saw it for sale! I bought it and was worried it would not live up to my 25 year expectations. Happily it surpassed my expectations and memories. This is truly a beautiful art book. The designs, colors and photographs are timeless and gorgeous. I probably couldn't afford to make one of his knitting creations but I'm thrilled to be able to admire the pictures of them and to dream...
Highly recommended!

Brilliant color & pattern - genius.

Was hoping to get another printing w/ different cover but very happy. Then again, I'm Kaffe Fassett -crazy, believe him to be a genius with patterns, use of simple shapes to make complex designs with use of color - and, of course, his overall use of color and the ability of his designs to transcend so many media!Read full review...

Glorius Knitting

One of Kaffee's early books, wonderful designs, bold colors of yarn, excellent presentation of finished knitted designs. Wonderful photos. Many of the designs are still being used today. I cannot decide which design is my favorite, as they are all so beautifulRead full review...

Great Kaffe stuff

Lots of great information. Love Kaffe Fassett designs. Maybe a little dated.
