Pros and Cons

PROS The Max grips are great if you tend to adjust knobs with your finger edge. I like these and put them on most of my Gibsons now. They actually are a good design.

CONS: Unfortunately Gibson does not sell replacement knobs of this style at all. So if you want them you have to buy from craigslist, a disassembler for $20 a set, or from the clown trying to sell them for $60 a set. (No way I would pay that...they are NOT worth that much, and I don't tend to be a price sensitive shopper for items I really like. But C'mon. It's a plastic knob.

Still waiting for someone in China to make the mold and build replacements...that fit the US pot shafts with a non-asian spline. So far no luck there.

The VERDICT: Good product at a terrible value and with poor ability to replace later if you get used to them.

The best!

I have these on all my Gibson and Gibson type guitars. They are so much more easy to handle than the hat knobs which to me are useless. I always get the Gibson speed knobs because a lot of the knock off Gibson type knobs do not fit full size pots and/or the holes in the knock off's are too recessed to fit right. These are the best.Read full review...

Fits a 90s Les Paul Studio

These fit my Les Paul Studio. Seem just slightly thinner than the original knobs, but they still look good.

quality and appearance just as original; very pleased with my purchase.

A perfect replacement piece for my guitar, which had a crack in its original cover.

Faded numbers doesn't look like USA quality

Looks like it's Chinese knobs package in USA material with a Gibson brand on it Gibson makes high quality knobs and numbers none of them are faded but these are faded.

Ridged knobs

For me the aesthetics of my guitar is as much as its performance. These knobs are bold and meaty looking and ad's beauty of your Gibson. Was a little pricy but I liked them and was willing to pay the price.Read full review...
