Totally Recommend it !

I bought gallop racer 2006 because I loved Gallop Racer 2001. There are differences most of them are good differences mainly the differences are.
Gallop Racer 2006 CONS
-cant change your point of view while racing. I always used the above shot while in 2001. It seemed that i could navigate better.
-cant have more than 1 horse at a time. I like this feature a little bit.
-saving is difficult. You can still save just takes a lot longer than GR 2001

GR 2006 PROS
-better graphics, I mean it is 5 years above 01.
-I love when you breed you don't lose your horse like you do in 01.
-Totally love that they allowed more space for horse and human names.

All and All if your looking to buy GR 2006 or 2001 Id recommend both. I know it has entertained me for HOURS.. ENJOY =)Read full review...

Gallop Racer 2006 PS2

This game is one of the very few Christmas prestents that the new hasn't worn off! Our whole family just loves to play Gallop Racer 2006 for the Playstation2.
We had owned a horse racing game several years ago and thought that it would make a good Christmas present because it would be fun and easy for the girls (ages:4 & 9) to play. Wonderful game for young ones to play(and not so young)

Very realistic, challenging, always fun to play. Mirrors many real life horse races. You can make your own horses and name them and pick out silks, etc. for your horses. Races are always exciting to run in. Nice diversion from all the non-parent friendly games available. Graphics are so much more realistic than other similar games. Gallop starts w/the Trots

Have enjoyed the Gallop series. '03 version still holds the spot in my heart. But '06 once you get going has all the attributes & then some. Just to get started & into the game will loose most of average players. So do what you can to get over the learning hump & you'll be running down hill for many hours to come.Read full review...

History of rare video games old school encyclopedia

Well horse racing games are pricey for the fact that only for psx ps2 wii ds 3ds gba have existed the most. Older old school systems like nes GameCube xbox Saturn dreamcast have never barely released any horse racing games so the less there are the more value the only games exists especially when not many copies were ever made.
