Good diamond files at a reasonable price
Had to buy these to replace an identical set I bought several years ago and somehow lost. This is a nice set of flat files for detail work - e.g., sharpening scissors, smoothing a chip in the edge of a glass, filing off the burr after sharpening a chainsaw, even smoothing broken fingernails. These Files are Great!
If you're considering buying these files but are hesitant because they're Chinese made, rest assured the quality is outstanding. I've had 2 sets of these files and have also had similar sets made it the U.S. and the quality is the same. This set is great for doing things like sharpening axes since the grit ranges from coarse to very fine. Excellent results on chain saw bar
Product worked exactly as expected to square up the groove edges on my Stihl chainsaw bar. I attached the file to a wood block with 2 tiny blobs of fun-tak, laid the bar on a 1/16" piece of G20 and slid the block with file across the bar edges. I rough filed the sharp ridges down with a coarse file and then finished it with a fine file. Had to bend the file handles about 10-15 degrees and shave them a little to get clearance and better contact, not a problem. Results were much more accurate and smoother than free-hand grinding on a carborundum wheel. The files cut the hard bar faster and easier than a steel file, while barely taking any wear.Read full review...
