RYLD VS JEGGRED - thunderdome Style

book is MINT.
best of the series . and all the full frustration between RYLD and JEGGRED that was building up from the first book comes to an explosive "THUNDERDOME" style brawl that lasts half of the book . i have this on paperback form , and have been looking for the HC version of this book for months, the sole reason i purchased the HC was for the JEGGRED VS RYLD battle.

Philip Athans is the best writer in this saga (which in my opinion is BETTER than LOTR). i have this book in SC and loved it enough to purchase it in HC.

People Die,
Cities Burn,
Loyalties are Broken
and lovers are Destroyed.

LISA SMEDMAN , on the other hand SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS for the sequel [ The Lady Penitent ] ... you can tell by her hand in EXTINCTION *book 4* that she hates the previously established and developing love of RYLD AND HALLISTRA and does her best to ruin it. leaving poor Athans to end it the only way a DROW can.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, PURCHASE [ The Lady Penitent ] because SMEDMAN takes a GREAT concept and destroys it with crappy selfsentered - male hating feminist crap (no offense intended to feminism at the least) but in EXTINCTION you feel vividly THE HATRED smedman has for male figures and [ The Lady Penitent ] cements her hatred by making the trilogy the worst i have ever read.
if you want to know how bad ... imagine what SHAMALAN did to the LAST AIRBENDER FRANCHISE , now magnify it by 30 , thats how terrible the sequel is.

Annihilation by Philip Athans

Menzoberranzan fights to survive the onslaught of attacks by multiple underdark races. There is an evolution in Gromph Baenre and he battles the Lich Drown for control over the city.

Our dwindling expedition of heros travel the multiverse in search of Loth in the Demonweb Pits. But things are quickly falling apart. Battle for control of the group and the stress of a lost goddess push them to the edge.

This book was well written and there are some unexpected losses you’ll have to read to believe.
