Worth a look

I'm a huge Molly Hatchet fan and for some time I've been curious about this version of the band.This CD/DVD combo offered me a chance to see and the group in action.Folks this is not Molly Hatchet.In spite of Lead singer Phil McCormack who is a dead on Danny Joe Brown sound alike,original Hatchet member Dave Hlubek along with Bobby Ingram and John Galvin who had stints in the original band these guys just come up short to me.They do great jobs on the real Hatchet hits but it's their original material that just kills the energy of the CD.The music honestly is just not as good..

Bobby Ingram was smart enough to license the name and keep it alive but this is just a tribute band that covers Molly Hatchet quite well.And that is the only thing they do well.My advice would be to find the Gator Country Band CD which is the original era members and go with that.But if like me you just have to have this get it and skip the band's non original era music.Read full review...
