Clever design easy to uselove the apo time

This is a very well designed and made micron gauge. The large display is easy to read and the adequate volume of the warning beeps are easy to listen for. The backlight is very much welcome. It times how long it takes to go from a minimum set point to a maximum set point so you can tell what kind of leak you may have. It is very sensitive to boiling off moisture shown as momentary upticks of the reading. The Robinair is also. When the reading stabilizes it becomes stable. I really like this micron meter. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is measured against my Robinair micron gauge This gauge 10 minutes longer to show the full pull down. This gauge shows 500 um when my Robinair is reading 50um. At 10 microns this gauge reads 18 to 20 about 10 minutes later. It comes up very fast when the Robinair shows 500 microns this gauge is already at 750. This can make one think there is a leak or moisture still in the system. This makes me wonder if the gauge itself leaks. Perhaps I just need to get used to it. If I do see a problem with it I will send it back to Fieldpiece to have it repaired. It is too nice to give up on. Fieldpiece really did their homework in designing this tool.Read full review

Worked for 2 weeks

Brand new out the box worked good, always kept it wrapped in bubble wrap used about 8 times then two weeks later and now it leaks. Check the pics it pulls down to 250 microns then I shut the valve n up it goes...What a bummer...Read full review

I find this unit durable and accurate.
You can just feel the build quality in this unit.
It is a surprisingly solid little gauge.
Helps you vacuum down a system with confidence with finding leaks
Even the smallest leak can be seen before adding/wasting refrigerant.
I love this unit and would thoroughly recommend it to beginners and professionals alike.
I usually connect it to the low port then vaccum from the high side.

Great Micron vacuum gauge
