When it comes to chrome or nickel plating, the cheap Chinese versions do not compare. I held this unit up to a knockoff and the difference was amazing. Deep, deep shine and thickness of chrome make all the difference. For the price, it's worth it. If your using this on a diy guitar kit, please be advised that your pickguard may need adjustments to fit this unit. If your planning on transforming a diy guitar kit to a good guitar, use the plate in combination with the correct pots and caps and a proper fender thre way switch.
