OE Quality Replacement

Bought to replace the worn E tuner on a 1995 Mexican Precision. Direct fit other than the new bushings are smaller than the holes in the neck. Had to keep my old bushings. Other than that all the screw holes lined right up. I reused my old screws also. The new ones were fatter, and the old ones were fine.Read full review...

Do not fit tuning head holes.

These are decent tuners for the price, however be prepared that despite these being described as a direct fit for Fender standard (Made in Mexico) necks, the bushings do not fit in the standard holes drilled in a Fender standard (Made in Mexico) neck. The bushings are far too small and drop right out. I had to use copper shielding tape to build up the circumference of the bushing so that they would seat and stay in the neck. The mounting hole pattern (on the back of the peg head) for the tuning keys themselves are however a direct fit and required NO additional drilling or repositioning. So I recommend these with the caveat that you will have to modify them to get them to work as described. At least that is my experience.Read full review...

Bushings too small!

I recently bought a Fender MIM replacement neck which was pre drilled for the tuners. My local Authorized Fender dealer said that these tuners were the ones to buy to fit that pre drilled neck. Now the tuners themselves fit the pre drilled holes O.K. One out of four holes on the neck in every position was slightly off but the real problem is that even though these tuners specked out as being the right size the bushings sent with these were too small for the tuner peg holes which left me having to find a way to make them fit correctly. I found that part shoddy to say the least on Fender's part. I have read other reviews complaining of the same problem with the bushing being too small and assumed that all these guys were trying to fit these tuners to a neck they were not suited for BUT my Fender Authorized Dealer looked it up in is little Fender book and these tuners were the ones that specked out for the neck I purchase so what Fender recommends for the necks it makes are not correct. These do not fit most SquiresRead full review...

Bushings were too loose for my brand new MIM 2016 Fender Jazz and kept falling out

Not a good fit, but according to Fender its the right part number. Bushings were too loose for my brand new 2016 MIM Fender Jazz and kept falling out. I had to wrap them in double sided tape and trim the edge to get them to stay on long enough to get string tension on it so it would stay in place.Read full review...

Bushings too small…

Like other buyers, I found that these tuners don’t fit a new (2021) MIM P Bass standard neck, even though Fender says it’s the correct part. The bushings are too small for the headstock holes, so instead of pressing in snugly, they’re loose and rattle like tambourine cymbals if you try to use them. It’s yet another example of Fender’s ever-changing specs, which they never keep track of correctly. I’ve seen this with SO MANY Fender replacement parts, that at this point I no longer trust the company to get ANYTHING right! Lucky for me I have some 15 year old leftover bushings that I may be able to adapt to salvage the situation. Hey Fender - this stuff MATTERS! Wake up!Read full review...

If you've got a MIM Standard or Highway 1 bass, these are the right ones

Good drop-in replacement for MIM Standard basses. I have a MIM Precision bass I bought from someone who had upgraded all the parts, and then pulled them off before selling, so I needed new hardware. After trying a cheaper import set of tuners and finding they didn't quite fit without needing new holes, I decided to spend twice as much for these. They're much better quality, and they're the original equipment that it came with from the factory. Smooth turning, sturdy feel, holds tune, looks nice and shiny. All around great gear at a decent price.Read full review...

Good just one thing...

Overall, my experience was good and easy. The only thing I want to mention is that one of the screws broke off in the headstock. So I would be aware of that and maybe use your own screws but other than that, these are solid.Read full review...

Fender MIM Jazz/P bass Tuning Machines

These tuners fit my 200i MIM Fender Jazz perfectly. No need drill or adapt any of the the old drilled holes. They came with 16 mounting screws and 2 sets of bushings (ferrules), the ones that will fall out and the ones you'd have to tap in. Instead of tapping mine out I left them in and the the new tuners slid right in with no wobble or looseness. After 20 years 2 clovers had fallen out and squeezed back in. Now I have 4 new tuners and 2 good spares in case any major bumps happen. I say it was $34 well spentRead full review...

Perfect replacement for Fender jazz bass

This is an excellent set of tuners. Very high quality, and fairly lightweight. I would definitely buy these again if I needed another set.
