GREAT MOVIE!! its a must see!

Fame is my favorite movie because I love performing arts and this film is all about singing, dancing, acting, and being a musician. The movie shows the lives of many different students at a performing arts high school who all have the same dream, to become famous. Some get big breaks and some get shot down, but that's what makes it so realistic. The film displays the struggles that come with trying to be famous. The students balance school work and relationships while trying to make it big. I saw it in the theater before deciding to buy it, but i give it a two thumbs up. This is a must see!! Fame is to dance for!

While many compare this version to the original and find it lacking, I must disagree. These two movies are very different animals. The original focuses a great deal on three characters, although they introduced many during the auditions. The newer version has a totally different plot even though it is the exact same premise. Also, the newer version has MUCH better dancing and singing sequences. The pursuit of fame and it's pitfalls are much more apparent in this new edition to the Fame resume. I personally love the new over the old because the dancing is exceptional and the characters resonate more with me. I recommend approaching this film not as a remake of the old but as an entirely different film. I loved it and I think if you give it a chance and let it shine as it should you will love it as much as I do!Read full review...

Fame lets one experience the highs and lows of putting one self out there!

I had never gotten a chance to see this series when it was on TV, recently found it on DVD and decided to check it out. I enjoyed every episode. I was never able to put myself out there as a performer, but I appreciate how difficult it can be to do so, and this show takes you along for the ride showing some of the highs and lows that result from throwing your heart over the hurdle and letting your body follow.Read full review...

This is better than the original to me !!!

Comparing this to the original it was better to me. It still kinda had no real story and was all over the place. Takes place in 4 years not really a musical. They took out the 2 or 3 main parts that made part one. I would say get this before the original.Read full review...
