This book is an informative read on John Sidney McCain III and his father and grandfather. This book is, also, a very compelling read about the hardships that often entail being a POW, which John McCain III experienced. A word of Caution, however, this book would be rated PG-13 if it were a movie. The book includes vulgarities that is often common in military life. Also, John Sidney McCain (III) did "drop" the "F-Bomb" on his interrogators once in the book. Otherwise, the book is a very good read.Read full review...

John McCain Book.

Whatever way you vote Republican or Democrat, one thing is assured John McCain's love of country . His love of his own place,comes across very vivid in this book. His forgiveness of his captors , though not articulated , is evident also.I am Irish and would be tending towards Democrat, but it would have been nice to see such a patriotic man in the White House . Having said all of this , it is nice to see America shaking - off it's past and electing the first african american president . People may understand the Irish Catholic pride when Jack Kennedy was elected . As one of our govrnment said at that time " we have a friend in the White House . Anyway,a good read, from a loyal american , who served his country in war and peace. Well done Mr McCain.Read full review...
