But much easier to work with.
The low resonant frequency keeps that impedance peak far from the crossover frequency, should you choose to use this as a high fidelity tweeter. Its fairly high efficiency ensures minimal insertion loss for a passive crossover, and uncompressed dynamics with an active crossover. No problem at all, crossing over to a 15" pro midwoofer, or a Scanspeak Revelator.
Trying out a second pair, as a split tweeter array, actively crossed at 1700hz, and passively split at 6000hz, 1 slope Solen Split. There seems to be no audible insertion loss, and the range being reproduced is even more refined, and forceful.
These are even better drivers than I previously thought.
Turn Me Loose, by Loverboy is a great demo, of how seamlessly these enhance harmonics and definition, of high hats, bass, guitar, and vocals. Perfect replacement

The Faitalpro are the perfect drop in replacement for these vintage Optimus 1 speakers. The Optimus speakers cross over at 500 HZ and no one seems to know why so low. These Faitalpro speakers have turned out far better than I ever expected, so much so that I am using them in a pair of vintage Nova 7B speakers also from Radio Shack. Great speakers for 70 bucks.

Great 3 Inch speaker that will exceed your expectations. Dont spend 20-40 bucks on a cheaper pair- spend the 70 and you wont make your system have a weakness. These will blend with most neo speakers.
