Love it

I like the fact that I am not contributing to the air pollution with the gas mowers, and I am getting on up in years and even with the self propelled feature on the gas mowers they are heavy to push up a grade.... I got this and was a bit skeptical, I will readily admit, but it is nothing but easy to use. It weighs so much less than the gas mower which I am giving away, I do not have to try to pull the cord to start, nor change the oil, filter or spark plug or run for gas. I have a lot of acreage and I use this primarily for the lawn in front of my house, behind and on the side.
And the frikken cleanup is effortless....and spotless. And did I mention there is a 5 yr. warranty on the mower, charger and battery????
My son thought I was crazy until he saw how little space it takes, how quickly the battery charges and the run time on the battery.

lightweight and excellent at cutting.

The box arrived busted up, had to be repackaged by, I am assuming, UPS, but the product was well protected inside. After unpacking and charging the battery, as stated in instruction booklet, I proceeded to mow three good size lawns, without problem. Cleaned it, as per the booklet and stored it with battery in charger. No problems. Hope for the money that it lasts as long as my old black and decker did, which cost less. Time will tell. I do like the lightweight feel as I push it around and it gives a very nice, even cut.Read full review...

Quiet and easy to use

This battery lawn mower was very easy to set up and use. The battery is easy to remove and recharge. It starts up quickly and so quiet compared to gas mowers.

I meant to order a self propelled mower but ordered a push mower by mistake. We decided not to
return it for a self propelled one. Since it is lightweight compared to a gas mower, this push mower is still nice to use - and we have a lot of lawn to mow.

Thank you!

Never going back to using a Gass lawn mower

I bought my mower on ebay as a used/return model because even after a ton of research that was all very positive about the ego mowers, I still didn't want to shell out the normal retail price. I've only used it once on my yard since it arrived and I would pay retail for it without hesitation. My mower had enough charge in the battery to be able to mow my entire front yard. I did this right out of the box, then charged the battery in the advertised 40 minutes and mowed approximately a quarter acre before the red light came to alert me to charge it again. Because I only had about 10 passes to go to complete the yard, I just kept going. I stopped and put the battery back on the charger and it still indicated 25%! My gas troy bilt is self propelled, while my ego 2101 is not. No problem because the ego is so light, self propelled would just be a waste of battery. I used to need to wear hearing protection, now I can carry on a conversation while mowing because it sounds about like a box fan running. I'm just delighted with thus fabulous mower!
If I was going to be picky I'd ding the fact that in mulching mode a wad of clipping builds up behind the bagger door if you don't use the bag. To dislodge, you must either lift the door and rake the pile out on top of your shoes, or else stand the mower on its nose and cascade the stuff onto the lawn. With either way, you're facing a rather large clump sitting on the otherwise clean mowed yard. My solution; I either just bag my grass which actually isn't as good for the grass, or better yet, just attach the bag right after I complete the mowing and walk a few paces again with it running and it all comes out into the bag. I then dump it on the garden or lawn refuse bag. Not really a priblem, just a quirk.
The housing us high impact plastic which only kers a small amount if dreck stick to it. I just took a wet rag and swiped it all out.
All in all, I highly recommend buying this ego mower.

Great and really nice looking electric mower

Excellent product in mostly every respect however one dissappointing finding is that it does not vacuum up the little leave pieces, acorns and similar other light debris nearly as well as a gasoline powered lawn mower. Aside from this flaw, I'm extremely pleased with my new EGO Power Plus machine and how quiet it is.Read full review...

Excellent cordless mower!

Have had this mower about 6 weeks and used it four times. Terrific, so far. Lightweight, at least lighter than I expected for a battery mower. Attachments are very easy to use, as is removing battery for charging. The charge seems reasonable for my lot (about 0.3 acre), although I re-charge between the front and back yards. At a width of 21" (22"?), you have to be a little patient, but this size makes it lighter and easier to maneuver than larger mowers. I had a corded electric (years ago) and this is FAR superior plus only slightly heavier.Read full review...

Low maintenance and get job done

Quite and powerful especially with a higher amperage battery.
Low maintenance and eco friendly, no gas, no oil change, no spark plug to worry about.

Worth every penny!

Love this mower! I had the Ryobi battery-powered mower, and it was a constant disappointment until it finally stopped working altogether. I watched a video review of this mower next to the Ryobi, and decided to give it a try. Wow! Easy to assemble and easy to use. The handle adjusts for the user's height. The blade height is easy to adjust, and the cut is smooth. The mower feels sturdy, and handles uneven turf with no problem. Worth every penny!Read full review...

Works, but didn't seem 100% new.

The serial numbers on the mower, charger, and battery were painted over with some kind of yellow marker... some rubbing alcohol took that off. Maybe these are new "refurb" units?

The charger was also a little muddy, however the mower seemed brand spanking new.

I've used the mower twice so far, and it seemed to cut great. Glad to be free of the gas mower, and looking forward to using it once the snow melts again.
