Not just an odd looking spark plug

We have a 10 year old lawn tractor and were ready to junk it somewhere around year 3. I gave it a last overall tune up on every part I could find info on. The last thing I did was install one of these spark plug. I mean, I wanted to give the mower every chance of running well before throwing in the towel. Long story short, for the spark plugs part we began to get about double the mowings from every tank of fuel. When it failed 7 years later it just stopped firing. The plug looked clean when I checked it, but the slight coating was apparently enough to stop it completely after 7 years of use. Added 3 mpg on my 40 year old bike, smoother running too

New Runner

Put these in our 1980 Yamaha Midnight Special and it runs absolutely 100% better with these plugs. We had tried a different set that was supposed to interchange but it made the motorcycle sputter & spit & it didn't idle very well.
