It is absolutely silent. One of our main concerns. We've had it a week and have not had to refill the tank. using it in bedroom where I tend to get a dry, bleeding nose at night. More heavily used than refurbished.

The price and the condition don’t line up. Sure the unit is $400-$500 new but the refurb price is far too high for the condition these arrive in. Chips, loads of scratches, and blems. Maybe i just had bad luck. Will not buy refurb from Dyson ever again. I ended up buying a new powerpure 2000 instead for half the price. The value just isn’t there with Dyson refurb units, i don’t know how else to say it. Sadly i would not recommend this to anyone as for $200-$300 you can buy an amazing top model humidifier brand new from powerpure or stadler. Read full review...

I was first a little disappointed when I found out about the weekly/monthly cleaning needed for this item. But once I watched the Youtube video and learned how to do it, it was pretty simple and easy. It's good to clean humidifier routinely regardless.

I like how Dyson pack their items without plastic materials. The box was well packed with all paper materials but very securely, the item is refurbished but looked like a brand-new item.

Works great, a bit used

This item does appear used but only if you look closely, as in only I can tell. Works like a new unit, using as a fan now as it's Summertime, but have tested the humidifier and that functions wonderfully, looking forward to using it in the winter months with our wood stove. Just an FYI, it doesn't oscillate like my other Dyson fans, something of a bummer, but I suppose that would create moisture issues. Also, if purchasing a used unit, be sure to use the cleaning solution (citric acid) as soon as possible, who knows when or if the last person did it? Better Hope You Never Need After Purchase Support

At the outset-be advised that this Review is more focused on overall user experience rather than product quality. This is certainly a neat little product and suffices in the role it is designed for with a little extra touch of style, though the water tank is smallish and a bit to a lot of a pain to fill. BUT - now for what may be for the worst part of the story. BE AWARE- their website and after sale support is abysmal. I received things I ordered off cereal boxes in the 80's faster than they can ship parts, and, if your on the fence about buying one of their products, don't read what kind of time frames you will have to deal with if you ever do need warranty work. Looking into it while I still wait on my remote {which you kind of need for operation}, I've certainly decided that I will be tossing mine or selling here before I ever let it come to that.
