Excellent Quality! Great Dissonance! Highly Recommended!

This has got to be the most popular album made by Staind, and a little old too! Staind changed their music tone in more recent years to be a little softer and more mellow since "Dysfunction". However, this is popular for a reason! "Mudshvel" is what made the CD so extremely popular, and the other songs are just as good. Many bands played extremely angry and sentimental music around the time of "Dysfunction" (NIN, Goo Goo Dolls, Marilyn Manson, etc) and their albums have mellowed a bit as well since then. "Dysfunction" is highly rated and highly recommended by everyone! If you're a Rock or even a Metal fan, you will love this album, or if you're interested (and you're young!) give this album a try and eventually I'm sure you'll love it!Read full review...

top 10 of personal favorites

this cd was a favorite in high school and now that i have a new copy of it, it has found its way into my cd player several times a day!!! all the songs are still musically relevant and hold punch, power and energy.. though its not heavy like pantera or lamb of god, this cd has its own type of heavy.. the early days of Nu Metal!!!! rock on!! buy this one!!!!Read full review...

Staind: Dysfunctional

This is one of Staind's best albums as it retains their early Metal sound and image. Much like their first alubm. 'Tormented,' distorted guitars and screaching vocals are present, as well as melodic vocals and guitars. It is a very good album to anyone who enjoy Nu Metal, of metal in general. It DOES NOT however resemble Staind's later work (14 Shades of Gray, Chapter V), which is more modern/alternative rock but still gives insight into the developement of their sound.. Sounds good.

His music always sounds good😀 There may be 1 or 2 songs that go on just a bit 2 long with screaming😏Kind of a waste when he does that, 'cause he has an amazing voice when he sings.
