Works great as intended!

Makes for a great ultra light weight footprint for my 4 person tent. I Didn't use the included straps as I already had webbing for straps for the corners. I cut it to size a couple inches smaller than the actual dimensions for the tent so that it doesn't channel rain under the floor of the tent. It's keeps the tent floor nice and dry!Read full review...

Not the right fit for advertised tent.

Much too big for my tent. I went off the title of the product which listed my tent. Yes, the dimensions were provided in the listing but I was expecting it to fit since it was advertised for my tent. Just annoyed because it wasn't described that I'd have to cut it to size. No huge deal but it should be explained that cutting it to size is part of the "kit" not just putting the tabs on. Tyvek-ey Awesomeness... great value.

you almost have to wash this n cold water in the wash and then cold dry... its to stiff out of the package, however, this is a common deal with Tyvek. Way better than $80, make sure you use the corner wrings or it will creep back under the tent and bunch up. There is a slick side and a soft side and the soft side clings to earthly things like twigs and dirt and stuff, kind of a pain but still better than $80.

I have used this all the way through 30 miles of Montana Hiking and it was a great deal. packs down awesome with the tent.

Tyvek Groundsheet Works Well

This Tyvek groundsheet was reasonably priced, arrived quickly, and came with tie down tabs and instructions for softening the material up so that it's less noisy. In addition to washing it without detergent and air drying it, I also just crumpled it up a few times and it's much more pliable and quiet now. As a ground sheet, I've found that Tyvek is fairly light, very durable, and sheds dirt well before packing it up. Read full review...

Nice kit- great value

You can't make it yourself for this price- unless you already own the grommet tool I guess. This product comes without instructions but it's assembly was intuitive. I recommend setting up the tent to use as a guide for attaching the grommets. The measurements of the ground sheet were pretty close and I'm sure would work just fine in the field but I think I'll probably trim it down just a bit on the sides to be safe. I like this product and look forward to using it in the future.Read full review...

Great Lightweight Ground Cover

I ordered the Tyvek as a footprint to use underneath my hubba hubba NX tent. It’s working great as I hike on the Pinhote Trail. I installed the six tabs enclosed with the Tyvek and found that I can actually use those tabs along with my tent when I stake it to the ground. As far as a lightweight ground cover it works perfectly. Thankyou.Read full review...

Great piece of gear with a drawback

Can't go wrong with tyvek, just bit oversized but nothing a sharpie and a pair of scissors can't handle. I really like the reinforced tabs, adds some weight due to the multiple layers of material but definitely will old up. A negative of my item was 3/4 of the grommets were not compressed all the way with one even falling off. Also the price is hefty but that's what you get for not doing it completely DIY.Read full review...

Shipped quickly

Shipped quickly, arrived sooner than expected.
Ground sheet works well with my tarp for summer backpacking. I sleep directly on it with a sleeping pad. Light, simple, durable. Good size, spacious to sleep on without much more than needed. Loops are a nice touch but haven't used them.Read full review...

Exactly what I hoped for

It's exactly what I was expecting. I washed the tyvek in cold water three times and it really quiets it down. The included glue on straps hold well. I have yet to expose it to high winds but at it's weight and cost this is worth it for the budget minded lightweight hiker. Read full review...

Great value to make a customized ground cloth

I purchased this product so I could make a customized ground sheet for my Big Anges Tiger Wall 3 tent. In the past, I have had access to excess boat-type shrinkwrap and used it to make ground clothes for tents. The advantage of custom made ground sheets is that you can make sections that extent out from under the tent into the area covered by the vestibule. This allows you to knee on the cloth while entering and exiting the tent. It reduces the amount of dirt tracked into the tent. You can also store shoes and equipment outside the tent, but under the vestibule and out of any mud. I never had any punctures through the shrinkwarp material, but it was relatively heavy. The dimensions of this sheet of Tyvek allowed me to cut it down and customize it to the shape and dimenions required. The Tyvek sheet is much light material. I suspect it is somewhat less impervious to penetrations as the shrinkwrap material, but it is less than 1/3 the weight.

I don't understand why the tent manufacturers don't make floor protectors that extend under the vestibule. If you don't want to use that portion of the floor protector, it can be folded under the tent. The amount of material is a minor percentage of the total floor space and wouldn't add too much weight.

LIghtweight, perfect for backpacking

I purchased this Tyvek product to use as a ground cloth for my Big Agnes Fairview 2 backpacking tent. The Tyvek sheet is super lightweight and takes up minimal space in my backpack.

Definitely wash the Tyvek sheet before using as the crunchy noise the Tyvek sheet makes when unwashed would be unbearable, but when washed there is virtually no noise.

Good value for the $$.
