As a kid 50+ yrs ago, Grandpa always told me I couldn't afford cheap tools. At the time it seemed odd, but.... he was right! A few years back I bought a cheaper, made in China, but with a known major US brand name, rotary tool. It was cheap, always an issue to use, and it didn't last. this is one time you should buy generic: the mandrills are aluminum. That's what put me in the market to buy new ones: the original one in the Dremel was aluminum. At 30,000 RPM?
