Not As Good As Expected
After installation, this switch only worked intermittently. The electrical contact points were making a very poor contact. So, I decided to uninstall it to see if I could find the problem. When I went to unplug the switch, the blade that plugs into the pigtail simply fell off at the slightest touch. Upon inspection, I could see that the little plastic stud that holds the blade onto the switch housing after melting the end was simply too short and did not have enough material to adequately secure the blade. As it was now useless and I had nothing to lose, I tried heating up the blade enough to melt the plastic and pushed it in place to where I was able to get enough material through the retaining hole to remelt the end and secure the blade in place like it should have been in the first place. That did work and the switch is now working reliably. I think the maker of this replacement switch needs to do a better job of inspecting and testing their product before sending it out for sale.Read full review...
