Donkey Kong NES Classic for GBA

It is so good to be able to play an old favourite game from my youth, and be able to carry it in our pocket (try that with the arcade cabinet version). The game is very well simulated for the Nintendo GBA, although slight differences in sounds, which is probably due to the small speakers on the GBA. Only disappointment, which has been mentioned by many, is the lack of one stage, which has the conveyor system with pies. I really wished the designers had included this stage. Always donkey Kong country!!!!

I've never really played donkey Kong country but I've always wanted to try it i like the first one i've really liked the original was first for the snes but i love how they made it where you can play it on the GBA SP and so on i've played the first one i'm going to love playing the second one Thank You so much if you are younger than 50 or 40 or maybe even 30 you should try these games. Donkey Kong Country 2 is still great on GBA

The game is still as great as the original SNES version. The hitboxes are improved from Donkey Kong Country 1 GBA. There's still tons of collectables to find.

The best DKC of the trio!

I first played this back in the mid 1990's. I grew up with the SNES along with my brother. We had hours and hours into this game and I just reciently just picked up this title again. The gameplay is as crisp as ever. The storyline is the same as before, where King K Rool gets Donkey Kong and Diddy and Dixie must save him. Cranky Kong makes a great return along with Funky Kong. Funky now offers new missions and minigames to do along side collect the DK hero coins. There are more things to collect and anyone who has ever played this will love to see the animals return by your side. This game is great, worth every penny!Read full review...

Blast from the Past!!!

This was one of my favorite games of all time back when SNES was the best you could do, as far as platforms. The gameplay, the challenge, the music (ESPECIALLY the music), the graphics, everything about this game was great! And of course there was a bit of sentimental value attached as well, as this was the only game i had for quite a while!

However, for years after that the only way i could play it again was to either buy an SNES system (mine had eventually broke), buy the game again (it is now quite rare on the SNES, which is now considered an ancient relic--and someone had stolen my original copy) and play it that way, or to download an SNES emulator for my desktop and download the DKC2 rom to play it, and of course rules and regulations only permit you to have these roms on your cpu for a certain amount of time (usually 24hrs)--thus i could never fully enjoy it all again.

Then it came out for GBA!!! I promptly went out and got mine and relived all my past glory. The GBA version even has added features, which i think was a nice touch.

I recommend this game to all PURE and "old-school" gameplayers (i say pure as nowadays games generally are only considered as good as their graphics are, and the 32-bit SNES graphics here may scare many "UN-PURE" gamers away).

Donkey Kong Country 2

I decided to buy this item for my son, who just got a Nintendo DS for his 6th birthday. He is very excited to get new games for it, and since they are much cheaper to buy through eBay than in the stores, I let him pick out one that he would want Mommy to bid on. He was ecstatic to receive it in the mail yesterday. Thinking of myself as being pretty technical, I was surprised when I couldn't get it to work - but, lo and behold - HE did!!!!! I guess he does know what he is doing! LOL Anyway, he loves to play this game and has been playing it most of this afternoon! It is a fun game (he let Mommy try it out!), and it is age appropriate. Great Action/Adventure Game!

I love the Donkey Kong Country games, they are fun and entertaining. I found Donkey Kong Country 2 harder to play than Donkey Kong Country but still fun nonetheless.
