Great Product

Bought this for my wife when she goes on rides with her horse around our neighborhood.. There's a few loose dogs and we needed a deterrent, we checked into pepper spray and airsoft pistols.. We read about this Dog Dazer that had good reviews mostly from British riders. Well we got one and it does work on dogs and cats, products states it works at maximum of 20ft. that might be stretching it a bit. The maximum distance we can get a reaction from our animals is around. 10-12ft. For our needs this product works GREAT. Read full review...

Dazer II Ultrasonic Aggressive Dog Deterrent Repeller

I bought one of these a few years ago. Nothing has changed about the gadget. I am a serious person about my personal security. This Dazer has very little effect if any toward repelling an aggressive dog.
There are plenty of stray feral dogs and other people dogs running lose where I live. The animals just keep coming at me. Chihuahuas and shepherds alike.

Turn the darn things up so I can literally and decisively make that aggressive dog turn around and head for the hills. Or better yet send me the instructions on how to turn up the power. I'll do it myself. A person can get hurt by dogs that ignore the wimpy dazzling effect and attack you. My Sjambok does a better job of self defense from these dogs.

I personally have no use for it. I need something seriously effective. Being too humane will get me hurt by some sorry ass gadget that doe not render a decisive impact of deterring these aggressive dogs.
I do not recommend it to anyone. Take your own chances. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Get real.

Works well - on some dogs.

Hard to genuinely rate the quality since I gauge that in regard to the length of time it works. I will say that this is my second. It works well on some, but not all, dogs. If they can hear well it will likely deter them well. If not you may want to take stronger measures. It's at the high end of what I am willing to pay but it works for my purpose.Read full review...

Worked for a bit and then product died shortly after purchase.

Hopefully mine was just a malfunction, but product worked great. I'm a dog walker and this little thing helped me with corrective training and no food involved. however it stopped working abruptly so i changed the battery but no luck. The thing works intermittently but not effective anymore. With what I paid I expected a better quality product that worked for at least a full year after buying it. Read full review...

Very effective on most dogs.

I am a Letter Carrier and deal with all kinds of dogs. The Dazer II is very effective in dealing with barking and aggressive dogs. Most have stopped after 1 use. Some take 2 or 3 zaps is all it takes to alleviate their issues. The first time it stops them momentarily, a few seconds they may come at me again, and by the third time they associate the movement of my arm and the sound with me and stop all together. I say "quiet" before using the Dazer II. From then on, all I have to say is "quiet". Some only require me to move my arm towards the dog(s) to stop them without having to say "quiet" or even have the Dazer II in my hand. I was skeptical but now have one more tool to keep me safe. Keep in mind that is doesn't work on all dogs. Read full review...

Dazer II

Late last year a new family moved in next door. They came with two dogs, which would bark at me viciously through the wooden fence every time I went out to the yard. All the owners did was to shout at them if they happened to be around. Finally
I thought of buying a Dazer II to solve this problem. Actually I had given a Dazer to a New York City neighbor more than thirty years ago because he complained that many nearby apartment residents' dogs would treat his lawn and sidewalk as a public bathroom. So I told him he could use it to discourage them. I found it very effective.

I couldn't wait for my new neighbors' dogs to bark to me again. One day unfailingly they started barking viciously when they sensed my presence. You know what, as soon as I pressed and pointed the machine at the animals, the black one ran like mad away from the fence and up the porch. But the more defiant brown one just backed off enough and continued barking. So I kept on pressing the button and it eventually gave up.

When I had a face-to-face encounter over the fence with the black dog yesterday, it appeared calm and didn't bark at me. Normally I befriends dogs easily and might have 'won' over an animal friend this time? As far as the bolder dog, I have yet to see it again. I'll love to continue my report next time. I highly recommend the Dazer II.

WORKS ON DOGS AN CATS

IT is really made for dogs but it actually works better on cats. I use it sparingly on my cat to correct some bad behavioral habits / People can't hear the ultra-sonic sound but you dog or cat will.

You get what you pay for.- 10 out of 10 does the job

Out of all the dog deterrent/repellers/trainers on the market this one I know works as I have owned one for about 6 years.
I lost mine (not advised of being found even though it had my tel no. and email address on it) so Ineeded a replacement.
Plenty of cheaper units I have tried in the past but they are ineffective.
These items can be tested by directing them at a candle flame or smoking wood spill. An effective unit will deflect the flame or smoke.
The cheaper units do very little in this test.
If you look at the electronics in the cheaper units and compare with this device you can see why they are useless.
You get what you pay for.
Having said that when you factor in the exchange rate and delivery this unit is not cheap but is effective whether for training or protection. I carry mine when out walking in the countryside and find it useful to ward off aggressive dogs. Particularly useful when passing along footpaths through farm yards or similar properties. 10 out of 10

SAVE your money for something ELSE...like a good stick!

I'm a letter carrier and had very high hopes for this product. I did lots of research before I finally purchased and in contrast of the bad reviews, I bought it anyway. What-a-let-down!!!
I tried it on MULTIPLE dogs along my 13 mile route (not exaggerated) and NOT EVEN ONE reacted to the product. I changed batteries and still....NOTHING. Even my own dog slept right through it with ZERO affect. Unfortunately, I was attacked (by a dog)while carrying it and had to use a nearby stick for defense! Read full review...
