Very Powerful System Low Price Point.

One of the nicer systems I have used. Very fast due to the CPU, plenty of ram & a good SSD. Also very well built(ie doesn't look or feel cheap). Lastly very good battery life for a full size laptop (around 6 hours in my experience so far). The only "downsize" that I had to get use to is the size/location of the touchpad, could have been larger and more centred.

If one is looking for very powerful semi-portable/desktop replacement, then look no further. This is an awesome system at a low price point, when compared against newer systems with similar specs/benchmarks.

Absolutely go for it if you want a solid performer.

As with all Dell Precision laptops, this one will NOT let you down. Solidly built, excellent performance. I am very well pleased with this purchase as well as the excellent eBay seller.

Some may find the laptop is a tad "heavy" in weight. I new this prior to purchase.

The laptop came in perfect working order and looked as "new". It does not get better than this.

Great laptop with solid construction and user serviceable

Great laptop. Very user serviceable with only 2 screws holding back-plate. Great keyboard feel with no flex, despite some reviews claiming otherwise. Solid metal case construction with no cheap feeling parts.

Only nitpick is the case is very slippery, unlike Lenovo cases, allowing it to easily slide off things. Easily expandable to add extra sata SSDs.

This laptop is heavy. It is very solid and and runs cool (2 fans). It trades durability for portability, however, if you need the computing power of the CPU and discrete GPU the trade off is worth it.

Love this computer!

I use this for 3D CAD and CNC programming..very processor and graphics intensive. I've had the m4700 at work for several years now with no complaints...the M4800 seems to be continuing that.
I7 processor, lots of RAM and Windows 7 is a great combination!Read full review...

A laptop for your desk-top

For the price of a Chromebook, a used m4800 gives specs in line with a modern business laptop, and excellent build quality. It is quite heavy, though.

Rock solid

Might be getting a bit older but still excellent machines. Add ram and a Solid State hard-drive , runs excellent.

Great engineering laptop.

I love this laptop. It's a little heavy, but it's exactly what I needed for working from home.
