Voice acting in English! Very similar to RE2. GREAT graphics for Saturn!

This game was made towards the very end of the SEGA Saturn's lifespan & really taps out the hardware. It looks great and comes very close graphically to early Dreamcast titles. I am still playing through this but I love it!

It is similar to Resident Evil 2. It is supposedly SEGA's answer to Capcom's RE2 because that title was not released on the Saturn. If you like RE, you will like Deep Fear. Survival horror, pre-rendered backgrounds, tank control scheme (up moves your character forward no matter the camera angle). One big difference! A lot of people complain of having to stop and shoot in early RE games. In Deep Fear, you can run & shoot simultaneously.

There aren't many survival horror titles on the Saturn, pick this up. You will need a Japanese system or a way around region lock if you using a US system (region switch mod or Action Replay Cart). The PAL version of Deep Fear is one of the few Saturn games optimized at 50hz and will not work on a US TV. No US release, so pick up the Japanese version. Japanese title MOSTLY in English.

I was checking online for something Sega rpg to play and one title Deep Fear popped up.It's great the game plays in English. It is an RPG horror game. I highly recommend.
