Lots of functions; and it can drive 2 amplifiers at the same time; but the sound isn't top of the line.
Pros:
This preamp (DJ Tech 1800) can drive 2 amplifiers at the same time, and I have no issues doing that for the past week(s). It supports bi-directional cable connections and standard RCA connections, not necessarily at the same time. It has the following functions that can frequently come in handy to use: balance control (for left & right speakers volumes), bass boost, treble boost, and mid-range frequency boost.
Cons:
It's NOT the cleanest sounding preamp that I have used, since it has some noticeable noise in the speaker output that I don't hear with one of my other preamps; and the noise can be too much if I raise the preamp volume past the half-way point. The unit's look isn't nice in terms of coloring and the lettering on it makes it look like it belongs in a stock race car with advertisements.
Why did I buy it?
For its functions mentioned above, esp. the mid-range frequency adjuster; and because I can drive 2 amplifiers with this 1 preamp.
