Dewalt battery operated weed eater.

Dewalt weed wacker lithium ion 20 volt. It has good enough power to do around your house. It is not for industrial use. It will works fine around the home. It just does not hold very big string. It works with my drill batteries also. Best of all, no gas , and no worries about getting it running. Read full review...

Difficulte (for me) to use

It might be me but i am having a difficult time making much progress. The line keeps breaking inside and i have to take it apart and restring it. It is not easy to take it apart and am not certain how long i will keep up the struggle. To trim along my sidewalks and driveway take me at least an hour. I am going to be looking for a different kind.Read full review...

Great surprise

I was reluctant to buy a cordless trimmer because I assumed it would be underpowered and eat batteries. I was wrong on both ends. This bad boy ate through 3 ft. tall grass with ease-that would have bogged down my mower. I used a fresh 6ah battery to start off with. After 45 minutes I checked the power and it was still showing 3 bars! Amazing. Just remember all....it only cuts in a 13 inch diameter. It's sturdy, much lighter than a gas model" and well built. I was quite pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of this tool. Besides....one looks cool doing yard work with a bright yellow and QUIET trimmer. Read full review...

My experience with the cordless trimmer

The string trimmer has plenty of power and easy to use. I love the portability of a battery powered tool. The unit is not balanced even though I moved the handle as far down as is it will go. I do notice when I trim grass a lot of the cuttings wind up on my pants leg. Probably nothing can be done considering the cutting process but is is annoying. .I would recommend it .Read full review...

My Wife Likes It

Although this trimmer is not quite as strong as a gas powered one it is still powerful enough to do your average weed eating chores. Dewalt is probably as good as any other string trimmer, it might ,in fact, be the best one for the money. I am a diehard Dewalt advocate and use this brand exclusively for all my power tool needs. Recommend getting the aftermarket trimmer head that runs around 30 bucks. You'll be glad you did. Much easier to load for sure. A major factor for getting a battery operated trimmer was the difference in weight as opposed to a gas powered unit. My wife was happy I did.Read full review...

Needed a new one!

The quality is great and myself being disabled I needed something lightweight because my gas weed eater was just to heavy. My new Dewalt weed eater weighs 7.3 pounds. My wife loves it as well because it’s easy enough for her to use and doesn’t have to wait for me to mix the gas! I recommend everyone to have one.Read full review...

Good for small yards. Worth the money

Used this once already and seems to be worth the money. Needed to buy batteries because I failed to read that it was the tool only. After using it I am pretty much sold on battery operated weed eaters for residential use. This tool is not as powerful as I would like so I might suggest stepping up to the newer 42 V or higher if you have a larger yard or taller weeds, etc. Do not expect the same results from this 20v unit that you may have been used to with a conventional gas weed eater. For the money though - and if you have light usage needs I recommend it. It is lightweight and easy to store.Read full review...

Just as good as a gas-powered unit, with no carb headaches!

If you have a gas-powered line trimmer and you don't use it regularly, you know what happens. Today's ethanol-laden gasoline treats carburetors horribly, and this tool is a fantastic way to bypass the carb headache. The tool is light, powerful, and on my 4AH battery pack can easily trim everything in my 2/3rds acre yard. Some of today's battery tools don't measure up so well to their gas-powered counterparts (chainsaws for instance), but this line trimmer is one tool that I'm happy to welcome into my shed.Read full review...

Dewalt trimmer

Works really well and has plenty of power. Struggles a bit with Bermuda but most trimmers do. If you have a lot of trimming and you do it all at once it will overheat and shut down until cool. I do half my trimming, mow, come back and finish trimming and it does great. Takes 2 batteries to get through a full acre of trimming with 1/4 of it fencedRead full review...

sceptical at first

Was a bit skeptical of buying this unit after reading feedback from buyets of similar model DeWalt trimmers but glad to say this one works well. Using a compact battery pack that does quite well for the 30 minutes of trimming i have to do.Read full review...

Love it!

I’ve always used gas string trimmers thinking that electric wouldn’t have the power to do the job. I was wrong. This thing is great for general yard work- light, quiet and easy to use.
