In my opinion

This book is by a woman who is known all over the world for her impeccable work in cakes. She gives great tips on where to locate various materials needed to complete the level of cakes she designs. There are some things a beginner may be able to attempt in this book however I think this would be more inclined to give inspiration or tips to an intermediate or skilled decorator. Not a winner for me.

I didn't like this book. There was nothing new. I mean who doesn't think C. Peters is the bomb? But this book just showed dated techniques and cakes that were eh. When the cover photo is the best in the book and THAT isn't anything to write home about the book isn't worth the price of postage.
Sorry this one is a miss for me. She has much better books from earlier that are worth the cost. Not this one though.Read full review...

Cakes to dream on still the best

I bought it because I want to have the complete C.Peters books collection. Besides the cake in front page and others, I did not find anything interesting. Cakes to dream on beats it at all.I thought the book had more, let say, crazy designs but they are a kind of common. The book was published in 1991, I guess that in the last 15 years Ms. Peter had found and polished her outstanding and unique cake decorating style that I love and really inspire me.Read full review...

A LADY TO BE ABLE TO BAKE LIKE........

I purcahsed this book because I bake and had the opportunity to meet Collette, and I think her work is wonderful. The book has a lot of helpful tips. Excellent.

This is a beautiful book!

I love this beautiful cake decorating book! It has some very pretty cakes that I'd love to try. There is great detail on how to decorate these lovely cakes.

I just love all of Clette's books and own many of them. Didn't want to have to keep going back to the library to get this book so when I saw it for sale I grabbed it!
