Changing you brain

An excellent book written on a readable and understandable level. Written by an obviously passionate author who believes in the message.
The guidance, I hesitate to use the term, advise, is aimed at individuals who are interested in making a significant improvement in their wellbeing through self imposed change.I would recommend reading the book and taking notes or at least have a highliter available so that you could go back and review the information.
Overall, for the price I found it to be a very good deal.

Change Your Brain, Change Your Body by Daniel G. Amen

I first saw a PBS special with Dr. Amen and was thrilled to have some of my questions answered on my health issues. I have purchased 2 of this book being reviewed and I have started taking many of the vitamins recommended for specific conditions. I am so happy there are people like Dr. Amen that can show us the way to improved health with the proper vitamins. Dr. Amen is just as interesting in his book as he is on TV. You can read this book for 10 minutes if waiting in line somewhere, or 2 hours when time permits and never tire of the content. Thank you Dr. Amen for helping me better my life. I feel better, and am getting healthier sleep

Dr. Amen's philosophy states that since no one can see their brain, we don't worry about our brains, or take care of them. His book is well written, and an interesting read. I have been taking the supplements he has suggested for good brain health for about 2 months, and while I can't state I never forget things any more, I feel my memory has improved a small degree. I have had difficulty sleeping for years. The supplements don't make me fall asleep faster, or sleep longer, but I do feel that when I am sleeping, I am getting healthy REM sleep now. this is an eye-opening description of the importance of brain health.

this book sheds much light on how crucial the health of the brain impacts overall health and wellness of a person. The medical data is written in layman's terms and really helped me understand the functioning of the brain and how detrimental it can be to engage in poor nutrition, exercise habits and insufficient mental stimulation. The information contained is very helpful, however, little is news. Many other "positive" thinkers have subscribed to basically the same premises. This book is great and it will change your brain as well as your body at the same time! I think people should be more concerned about their health especially nowadays. This book will teach you how your brain and body are connected and how when you change your brain for the better you change your body as well.
