Gives value as advertised: Sharp detail, color, multi-paper capability. I would recommend to artists looking to print their own work.

I personally designated a couple days for a shakedown cruise in learning how to use this printer. That being said, the time spent was well worth it and I am now very comfortable with this printer. >
My goal: To print my artwork on archival paper in pigment ink (not dye ink that would fade) in fine detail with color tones that matched the original.

Result: Goal happily achieved.

The results of fine detail are very pleasing whether I used a professionally produced .jpeg file or one produced from my home scanner.

This printer works exactly as advertised. The instructions were clear and had the necessary points outlined covering how to use the added capabilities. I was able to set it up and understand the different ways of manipulating commands with what I would call a moderate understanding of computer-to-printer command flow.

All pictures I have added are actual prints from the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 that I purchased.Read full review...

Great quality, easy to set up and wonderful print depth.

The instructions to set it up were simple and to the point. Unlike some other high end printers that I read about, the calibrations did not seem to use much ink so the cartridges remained almost full. The first print came direct from my phone and was in color with the second done in black and white. Both were incredible quality using the Canon Pro Luster Paper. It is not the fastest printer in existence but if quality is what you are looking for, it seems to deliver. I was particularly pleased with the deepness of the black areas as I like prints with a lot of strong contrasts. The colors also jump out from the paper. My only comments relate to the Canon app for printing from my phone. I could not find an obvious way to ensure that the photo was lined up the way I wanted as it did not seem to offer a choice of landscape or portrait, but maybe the printer takes care of that. I had understood that Canon provided some software to control the printing but if they do, I could not find it or use it. There is a free poster making program but that does not interest me. I have bought Paint Shop Pro to be my front end as I really don't like subscription products. I have literally tens of thousands of photos taken over the years in both black and white and color so I wanted this printer to be my high end way of printing my best ones.Read full review...
