Good Solid Photography Tool

Arrived on time and in the advertised condition. It is used but has a low number of shutter releases. It works well and the price was right. This is my second Canon EOS; the first one is an XTi 400D, which I purchased new a few years back. It has been a great camera but the T3i 600D has a few more features that I like. An added benefit is that the lenses are interchangeable.

One question that was asked me during this review was "Is it easy to use?" I answered "no" but that was not a derogatory "no." This is a professional piece of equipment. It has many functions. It will require a learning curve before I am proficient. So, no it is not that easy to use and I like that! I recommend gurugby for your photo gear purchases.

OK for the model

For general use it's a good camera. However, it didn't have an external mic jack as I thought it did, and it has limited video recording time before automatically cutting off. For short clips and stills, it's a great camera. If you're looking for longer video work, get something else.Read full review...

Great all around camera with pro features at a reasonable price.

I've used the Canon T3i sense it came out in Fab. 2011. For a low cost camera it offers impressive performance. I have yet to find a situation where I wasn't able to get great results. Picture quality is very good with the kit lens 18-55 3.5f but that's not where it ends. All Canon's new lens fit and work perfectly. The newer T5i has the same sensor and takes the same pictures but it's a bit faster and has a touch screen. It also has a higher ISO max of 12,800. The max on the T3i is 6400. I find myself using 400 to 1600 for most of my photos and the newer features don't really add much to the overall quality of the photos. DSLR video is what these camera really excel over a stand alone video camera. With a greater depth of field and use of prime lens you can get a real move look and feel to your videos. Going full manual is a must for this application and there are plenty of, how to videos out there so you can get off to a good start. Over all Canon has put a great package together in the EOS line of T3i to T5i models and would give any hobbyist or semi pro photographer all you need in one camera.

Looking for a vast improvement? Check out the new T6i and it's 24MP sensor.

If you're on a tight budget, I would suggest not spending your money on high end camera bodies. Instead start collecting a nice set of lens and learn how to use them. Good lens can make the most impact on your overall picture quality and that is one reason the T3i is such a great choice. I hope you found this review useful and if you did, please let me know. Thanks!

Great camera

Great camera, works with large variety of Canon lenses. Even though it's been out for a while and is not as high in megapixels as some of the newer cameras, it is still a fine camera and takes excellent pictures. Good value as it can be bought for far less than newer model DSLR cameras and still get equal quality shots. I bought it as a backup to my 7D MK II or to have a wide angle camera ready for scenic or portrait since I always have a 600mm on the 7D MK II for wildlife.Read full review...

Good used product

The camera works great. It have some little problems as hot pixels and dead pixels but is no that bad. The other thing is that when yoh try to record videos, it stuck and stop de record. I am using a good SD class 10 card, but it seams to not be enough.
But finally, a great old camera that still taking awesome pictures.

Endless possibilities from a an amazing workhorse that's easy & fun to use!

Having been a Canon photobug dating back to my first Canon SLR (The old Canon EF) in the late 1970s, my opinion may be a bit jaded but without a doubt, this camera does everything it promises and thensome! My reason for purchasing this model had more to do with backing up my first-generation xti than anything else but having stated this, I will admit even after I get the old girl back from Canon following her tune-up, I may never choose to use her again!

This model offers a much faster response/recovery time when processing shots and the HUGE 3.0 multi-position display is the big difference-maker for me as I take an average of 1,ooo exposures for each case I work on. Being able to easily see every detail in the shot I have just taken makes my job of being a forensics photographer much easier and far-more efficient now that I don't need to take several shots to insure I got the BEST photograph possible.

The added feature of HD video is another big plus this model offers and I am interested in testing this feature out soon, as it could help me eliminate the use of my SONY HD video camera in the near-future. Imagine getting that previously-impossible video close-up with a 500 or even 1500-IS/USM lens that was impossible to capture until now! The possibilities are truly endless!

Although this particular model has since been replaced by the successive xti-4 and now the 5, there are minimal improvements in the "guts" of what these models offer over the xti-3 and why I chose to save some bucks by making this investment. The only word of caution I would offer is to be weary of extending the digital display when using this camera. Keep in-mind this display is connected to the computer of the camera by hair-thin circuitry which is susceptible to dislocation or even severing through constant use. While it is a worthy feature to have, it should in my opinion be used sparingly and only when necessary if you want to keep this camera (or any such camera with this feature) in top-working performance over the many years it is designed to serve your needs.

Excellent DSLR, great value

The camera is lightweight, simple to use, and produces great quality photos. It's a great camera for a beginner to learn and grow with. Though it came out a couple years ago, it holds up and has all the functions most casual photographers would need. I highly recommend it.Read full review...

Good Photos. I am really pleased.

This box is great. The photos I take are limited in quality by the entry level lenses I chose. I use it mostly for Vlog, and the Sigma Lens I chose does a perfect job for that. I am super-pleased with the quality of photos and videos it takes - like I said, it is limited by the quality of the lens I put on it.
It is superb for the Vlogger who "films" in low light, though I typically use a lighting rig.
Buy good lenses that fit the 58mm frame, and start shooting. There are unlimited filters and options for this box.
Jz is very happy with this purchase, and recommends it to entry level Vloggers in a special way. I still use it, and expect to whenever giving a class to the people beyond the camera.

Photos a phone could never capture with such brilliant quality .

I did not say it was better than expected , I actually thought it was kind of beat up , which is contrary to the photos at sale .It does seem to function fine but the auto features are a little slow compared to my T5i but that is expected it is an older model .Read full review...

Great DSLR for the Price.

I bought one a long time ago and served it's purpose well for a Filmmaker; it's functions are simple to use and easy to master though it's an outdated DSLR it still one of the best for Photography and low budget videography when needed when it's time to upgrade will get a similar device till then two Canons are better than one.Read full review...
