Durable Wide Angle Lens

I recently purchased the Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Lens to outfit my M10 back-up camera with a Canon brand wide angle option. This lens joins 4 others I have for this camera opening up all the photographic options that I need for my back-up rig in the event that my primary DSLR fails at a shoot. Right out of the box, this lens performed quite well when I walked out on my back deck and shot wide angle across my neighborhood. To protect this lens, I ordered a Hoya 55mm UV filter which did not interrupt the image quality in any way. I'm very satisfied with the quality and durable feel of this latest Canon lens purchase. Good lightweight wideangle lens.

I purchased the canon ef-m 11-22 as good, lightweight, wide angle lens for my Canon M5 Sharpness is good in the center and does get a bit soft in the corners. But as part of a lighter weight backpacking kit it is a good lens. On my crop sensor M5 it acts like a 17-35 mm lens.Read full review...

Canon EF-M 11-22 mm

The 11-22 mm is mainly reviewed for its video capabilities. I purchased it a few weeks ago. It is the sharpest lens I've ever seen in its class, with excellent corner sharpness and no chromatic aberrations wide open at all zoom levels. For landscape work, this lens will give you razor-sharp images from corner to corner if used correctly. I also owned the Canon 10-18 mm, 10-22 mm, Sigma 8-16 mm. The 11-22 mm has the best optics. I also own the Rokinon 12 mm F2; even stop down, there is no comparison. The corners of the Rokinon lens are much softer, and the lens has far more chromatic aberration. For landscape photographers, the ability to have the extended zoom range coupled with excellent optics, I would say that the 11- 22 mm would be a good choice.Read full review...

The perfect addition to my Canon M50 Mark II mirrorless camera. Both are nice and compact!

The lens is crystal clear and sharp as a tack. The aberrations for this wide angle lens are minimal and easy to rectify in Lightroom. Very happy with my purchase thus far.

Better Than Expected

I am a prime lens freak in general, but wanted something in this wide range for my EOS M cameras, so decided to give this zoom a try. It is fantastic lens by any measure, not just great for a zoom lens. It has been a pleasant surprise how well Canon has made this lens perform in such a small package and at such a reasonable price.Read full review...

Very compact for being such a wide zoom

Most super wide zooms would dwarf this lens. Great little package that seems solidly built. Fast and quiet autofocus. I wish the maximum aperture were higher, but that would probably force a much larger and heavier lens.Read full review...

Great Lens Great price!

great lens for the cannon m50, have been using a old 10-22 and adapter but ran into issues with the loud auto focus, the 11-22 fixes the issue and is about 1/4 the weight and size. highly recoomend!

EF-M wide angle zoom

Excellent walk around Canon M Series zoom, only thing I wish were that it was faster.

Great wide angle with a slight fish eye effect that stops at about 15mm

Great lens. It has a slight Fisheye at 11mm and stops at 15mm. It is a sharp lens and very wide at 17.6mm (equivalent to 35mm full frame standard)

I used it for the first time at Thanksgiving and it captured everybody at the large dinner table. I wish it were a little faster like a f/3.5 or even f/4.0. In any case I like the lens.Read full review...
