It reminds me of Serious Sam but with a unique style

I will review this game quick since I finished it and I have the platinum for it, I hope you find it useful.

Bullestorm is a FPS game with good ideas and good innovative gameplay for the FPS genre. There are two versions of this game but nothing really special for the Limited Edition, just some extra challenge levels and one costume for multiplayer.

*GAMEPLAY: Simply nice. The game has a nice variety of weapons. You must kill the enemies with style and using your imagination. For this, you will use a whip(leash) that will slow down the target. The bad thing though, you cannot start buying awesome weaponry from the beginning and there is no offline co-op which could have been awesome.

*SOUND: Nothing really special but enjoyable to listen. The enemies make nice yelling sounds (like Serious Sam) but like I said, nothing really that will stay in your head for days.

*CONTROLS: Okay, it doesn't have custom but most games now in days don't have that option anymore. The game is very responsive but the only thing I found annoying was the cover system which even though it does works, it just seem useless with so many enemies trying to kill you.

*OVERALL: Just a good game, really. Now, this game online mode is a cooperative one and you WILL NEED to really have patience with people online and most of the time you will be annoyed because it really needs TEAMWORK which you cannot find online. It doesn't have offline co-op which hurts the rating and it would have been so nice to have it specially for this game.

Great game!!!!!! one of the best FPS ever!

All you have to do is look at Bulletstorm to know it’s not a game that’s much concerned with pushing the art of interactive storytelling to dizzying new heights, but, fortunately, no one is playing this game for the deep narrative, and that helps mitigate issues like extremely convenient coincidences and unnecessary pushes to explain every element of the game world and its characters. For instance, knowing the backstory on the ammo drop pods and electric leash, or knowing everything that’s happened on Stygia leading up to the events in the game, adds nothing to the overall experience, but it’s mostly used to just fill the gaps in the action anyway, so it’s forgivable.

For those that care though, Bulletstorm tells the story of Grayson Hunt, a finely coiffed, drunken space pirate, and a few surviving members of his black ops space outfit Dead Echo, who crash land on the bizarrely abandoned, “tropical paradise gone wrong,” planet of Stygia after bringing down the ship of their previous employer, the gutter-mouthed General Serano. Hunt and company’s primary objective is to track down Serano and execute him, but in the process, they encounters a saucy, ass-kicking woman named Trishka, who just so happens to have a very important connection to Hunt and his crew, and who happens to want to kill to Serano just as bad as Hunt. How’s that for kismet?

Now, a lot has been said about the game’s extremely explicit dialogue, and rightfully so. This game is filthy, but it’s the kind of filthy that you can’t help chuckling at because it’s just so damn creative. And while the dialogue fits perfectly with the game’s overall, big dudes with big “guns” tone, there’s a slight disconnect between Hunt’s cutscene story and his gameplay story. One second, Hunt is in a scene, and it’s all about redemption and reconciliation and then two seconds later he’s using highly offensive (if creative) expletives to joyously joke about his horrific, vile, and vicious activities. It’s a bit jarring, and could have been avoided had the game stuck with either being entirely over-the-top, or toned down some of the more absurdist elements.

A Wild Ride

This is the tale of a pirate and his crew who, while on a quest seeking revenge, crash on a distant planet along side their target. What follows is an intense and very fast paced shooter with just the right rpg elements in just the right places. The landscape is beautiful and the pacing is extremely well done. It's an adventure that never lets up and keeps you gripped till the very end. It ends far too early and leaves you begging for more. But be warned, it is a very visceral and graphic game and it has more than its fair share of phallic dialog. But hey, its a pirate's life.

If intense violence and explicit language do not phase you and you're looking for something different, I'd highly recommend you give this one a play.

Buy it! Not a waste! definetely worth a second playthrough!

This game has a very good story line, the humor is over the top but some what contagious, graphics are beautiful and the game play is smooth. the weapons are very intriguing. The characters are a situation of like it or hate it. The campaign was not short, but the developers had so much room for more game play that they could have extended the game beyond its actual conclusion. 9 out of 10!!!!Read full review...

Litterally a kick butt game!!

Bought this game because I like shooter games and this one is a little different since you can kick and earn points. Also I read about it in playstation magazine. What I don't like is the story...idk but I don't much care for allot of game stories. This game is one I am glad to have bought for my collection and I do enjoy playing it as will you!Read full review...

Bulletstorm PS3

First off i have to say that i have played alot of first person shooters and this one finds a way to set itself apart from the others.

The graphics are top notch and smooth and the gameplay is fluid. Its always good to get some new weapons that ive never seen before in a game and even the ones you have seen before like a sniper rifle or hand gun have some unique secondary features.

The skillshot feature is nice. I did find myself at times thinking to myself "whats the most crazy and insane way i take this guy out".

All in all a very good game and i cant wait to see what direction they take it in the sequal.
