I have another that takes the same ink cartriges and I had to have a spare if I couldn't get the black nozzle unclogged from my old Brothers J450DW printer. So I hunted down this one so I wouldn't have to buy more ink cartridge's, this took the same ones and works just as good. Tried an "Olympus" Printhead Clening kit, 3 times with no success. Will try one more time, but printhead may be bad.

Print quality is really bad, after several cleanings, especially Black. Replaced all cartridges as well - no improvement. Have ordered a head cleaning kit to see if I can resolve the problem.

Fantastic buy couldnt be happier!!!

Decided to get a refurbished printer since it was like a 40% savings and its great!!! Printer housing looks brand new with no scuffs, scratches, etc. I don't have a desktop or laptop, just a phone and tablet so I had no idea if I would be able to use it without setting it up on a PC first. Setup was a breeze and way easier than the instructions made it seem. No way will I ever go back to HP printers

After literally decades (since the 80's) of hassling with many HP products and experiencing an HP support department that at times is incapable of solving printer issues, this inexpensive little printer works exceptionally well and their claim about using very little ink is true!
I think I have at least 5 old HP printers in my garage......silly to save them, but somehow I had this notion of using parts for other projects or even resurrecting them. I have to make room now!
But for someone who's thinking of trying Brother products out, you're not taking any risks. They set up easily, do what they're designed to do and like all other printers, they probably have a short lifetime, but the cost is less and the ink life is longer. Its a win for me.Read full review...

Same old same old

This is 3rd unit I've owned-prior 2 both had failed jet after several years, but I like design and features and prefer not to change printer or cartridges

Brother with clogged print heads.

The print heads are impossibly clogged. So far I have been unable to clean them, so it is not yet usable. I did sign up for a service program. Who can I contact?

Probably should have got this a year ago when I first saw it.

I needed a printer which could handle an occasional 11 by 17" print job. This is capable and yet small enough to fit into my home office without making any adjustment from my small brother laser printer.

Best home office printer I have found.

This is a terrific printer. Love the space saving design and very pleased with the functions and quality. Printing output is very nice. Ease of use and initial setup couldn't be smoother.
