fairly easy to install, innocuous looking. it is loud, but not, as some have indicated, as loud as a vacuum cleaner. the noise can be mitigated by purchasing a rheostat- (the nu-tone suggested by eBay works fine) and turning it down just a little, much quieter and still plenty effective. I purchased this fan to act as a fume extractor from the glue station of my shop, though it is not rated for this purpose. it does, however, work terrific.Read full review...

Good airflow

This is a good fan to exhaust kitchen odors outdoors. Not the quietest fan available but if you don’t mind the noise and want to install a decent fan, this should work.

Broan 509S Exhaust Fan

I replaced 2 60 year old through the wall exhaust fans with the Broan 509S . They went in without any problems at all and work great . I might recommend buying the optional filters for these , as the old fans I took out were full of kitchen grease .Read full review...
