great product for price.

Wanted to update Tracfone when traveling. This one does exactly what is needed plus more. Would recommend it to anyone that is not tech savy and wants a phone to call and make calls.

Works for me.

I use Blackberry's exclusively for their Music feature via a low-power antenna to various radios: one in the vehicle, one in a garage, and another elsewhere in the house (and as a backup). So I didn't really care about looks and all that. I just needed to be able to connect it to my PC, add/remove files, and have the music function work as it should. (Well, the screen needs to work, too....)

All in all, happy with this purchase.

Makes email, phone & text communication a breeze.

I originally owned an iPhone with AT&T, but elected to switch to Verizon for coverage reasons prior to Verizon acquiring the iPhone. I had an old Blackberry (8830 World Edition) that I went back to so I wasn't restricted to a carrier with a contract. After the switch I noticed the Blackberry I had was out of date, thus I tried the 9330. And although I am still a fan of iPhone, I have really enjoyed using Blackberry again with the updated software. The phone is small, stylish, & functional. I enjoy the trackpad tremendously as it's very easy to do anything with the flick of your thumb. Touch phones often require two hands to be efficient, one to hold the phone and the other to navigate the touch screen. I still enjoy the bigger screens of touch phones, but for business use, the Blackberry Curve has made email, phone, & text communication very nice. The apps are a little weaker with BB, but I have been very satisfied with the battery life and overall functionality.Read full review...

Great smartphone

This is a very nice smartphone. It does lack a flash for the camera but for my purposes its not needed. The quality is very good and the has all the features I need. What I like the best is the fact that the GPS feature does work with third party navigation apps such as Google Maps, LifeinPocket, and the EndoMondo workout tracking software.
Very highly recommended. I was looking at the 9650 as well, since my wife has one from work, but when I compare the two side by side, I like the 9330 better.

my first blackberry~ this does it all~ 5 STARS~

MY FIRST BLACKBERRY~

a friend of mine purchased this phone and I had to have one~

thanks to back up assistant I had it ready to go in about 30 minutes~

DOES NOT COME WITH MEDIA CARD~ YOU HAVE TO BUY ONE BEFORE THE VIDEO WORKS ON THIS PHONE~ I GOT MINE ON EBAY FOR $9.95 INCLUDING SHIPPING~

what it does....IT DOES VERY well~ phones are excellent~

take an excellent photo~A ZOOM FEATURE AT THE TOUCH OF THE SCROLL ~ GREAT~

keep up on up to 10 email accounts CAN BE ADDED so you can keep in touch.

button scroll is easy to use.

do not like the color? ah~ ebay has plenty of reasonable priced hard rubber snap on covers for it~

I just added my first bluebooth ear set for it~ the SET up was easy.

on line support via blackberry.com is first rate~ saves reading that boring hard to see little crappy instuction book that come with it.
an application feature including for everyone and everything they want.

can update FACEBOOK and other social networks at the touch of a button~

only two things I can say about it that are minor negative items.

Battery life is short so recharge daily. but then it has so many features I should say I helped drain it~ LOL

symbols button is hard to use~ minor but I will mention that.

first rate and I am 100% thrilled with my first blackberry~ with my new RED snap on case~ I purchased on ebay~

I GIVE THIS BLACKBERRY 5 STARS FOR A FIRST TIME BUYER /USER~ FOR A GREAT PHONE AT REASONABLE PRICE~ AND EXCELLENT EASE OF USE~

best bang for your buck

easy to use phone, very affordable.

from cnet-
The RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 comes with BlackBerry OS 5 but RIM and Verizon have promised that it will be upgradable to BlackBerry OS 6. The new OS promises quite a number of improvements like a revamped home screen, universal search, easier access to messaging, a new Webkit browser, and more.

The Curve 3G 9330 has the usual phone features like voice dialing, conference calling, speed dialing, a speakerphone, vibrate mode, and of course text and multimedia messaging. Instant-messaging options include BlackBerry Messenger, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, and Windows Live. Continuing the RIM legacy of strong e-mail features, the Curve 3G 9330 can sync with your company's BlackBerry Enterprise server in addition to other e-mail systems like Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino, and your own POP3 or IMAP accounts.

Other features include GPS/A-GPS with VZ Navigator support, EV-DO Rev., Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), and stereo Bluetooth. You can use the GPS with other location-based apps and for geotagging photos. Mobile professionals will appreciate the calendar, a memo pad, document viewers for Microsoft Office, Corel WordPerfect, PDF documents, and more. The phone has 512MB of flash memory, and there's also a MicroSD card slot that can accept up to 16GB cards.

A Productivity Beast!

Purchased two of these from two wonderful sellers on eBay about a year ago. The current price is literally unbeatable! As an individual who gets easily distracted by the hundreds of apps on iOS and Android devices, I can only work efficiently on my 9330. The keyboard shortcuts are amazing, you can access all your important apps with one key press from home screen. The phone syncs seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook. All my notes, calendar events, and contacts are easily accessible from both PC and phone. No need to send them to remote servers and then try to pull them through wireless sync afterwards. The phone is light and compact, very easy to carry around. I prefer Curve over Bold because I have smaller hands.

Verizon's unlimited prepaid plan costs less than $50 with free BIS. It goes with the phone perfectly. Page Plus is a better choice if you don't need BIS functionality. Their prepaid plans are as low as $12.99 a month.

Bottom line, if you are budget-conscious, or if you simply want a productivity beast of a phone that would help you focus on your work, this would be a great choice!

Strongly recommend!

no MMS capability???

maybe the unit i received was a former enterprise phone, but the MMS feature was not available. i tried to factory reset with no luck. i tested by sending MMS with another BB phone and same SIM and it didn't work. otherwise, it's a great basic phone to use without a data plan.Read full review...

Ease of use lacking pazzaz!

Bought this phone as a back up loved blackberry years ago still do. Great for email and SMS however since switching to iPhone it has been difficult to adjust to the sluggish performance blackberrys have. Overall this is a great phone easy to use. Lacking features I guess I am just spoiled with the iPhone.Read full review...

Great battery life and easy BB to use. I tossed an Android for this BB.

I really like the optical track ball, however I am used to an 8330 and still like it better. The 9330 does not seem as robust as the 8330 but works quite well with good battery life. A good phone for the first time or younger user. I left my 8330 for an Android. I tossed the Android and went back to a BB. I still like the 8330 better but even this 9330 beats the Android hands down. Like all BBs this phone will do whatever you need.Read full review...

Great Blackberry phone. Really easy to use. A+++

I have had this phone for a few days and I have done nothing but enjoy it. Although the BB App store is limited I still found the applications I really needed.
The phone design is very nice and I find texting and emailing really easy to do. Also, it is truly easy to to keep up with my social networking.
The calender is awesome ... Overall a great phone.
